Volcano Hiking Adventure | Kagoshima Sakurajima ★ ONLY in JAPAN
Start your year with -- a VOLCANIC EXPLOSION! Japan's most active volcano is also a great place for lava trail hiking, hot spring bathing and pure adventure.
Where is this magical volcano you ask? It's down on Kyushu Island in Kagoshima Prefecture (1,300km from Tokyo) and that ash and fire throwing cone is SAKURAJIMA!
You can get there by ferry in 15 minutes from the city center for a ridiculous 180 yen / $1.50, about 4km across the sea.
Sakurajima is famous for island mikan, much smaller and sweeter than on the mainland. The Sakurajima DAIKON RADISH which can weigh as much as 45kg is also well known. It's the biggest radish in the world. (Are you excited yet?)
If radishes aren't enough, there's that LAVA TRAIL and loads of paths for bicycling. Not far away are sea view onsen baths where you can soak up those minerals and long views across the sea.
The Sakurajima Visitor's Center is the place to start your adventure.
Inside, data on the island's volcanic activity and history is all documented with diagrams and videos. There's also a gift shop with some cool things to buy.
I went in the off season (January) but that shouldn't stop you from visiting. It just means you get the whole place to yourself.
The population on Sakurajima is quite old. I met a 97 year old woman who was walking around just fine. She was half my size but seemed to have twice my energy so I think there's something truly magical about this island. I hope some of that magic rubs off onto you as well.
HOW TO GET THE SAKURAJIMA:
It's a 90-115 minute flight from Tokyo (Haneda or Narita Airport)
or a 7 hour trip on the Shinkansen. Great if you have a JR Rail Pass!
Buses depart regularly from Kagoshima Airport to the city center where you can either grab a taxi to the ferry terminal or a bus from Chuo-Kagoshima Station. It's a short ride.

It's 24 hours, departing every 15-20 minutes.
Adults: 180 yen ($1.50)
Child: 90 Yen ($0.75)

Yellowtail Farm in Kagoshima Japan, an Expedition
During our Japan expedition back in October, we visited Kagoshima (鹿児島) in Kyushu, one of the best places for yellowtail (ブリ&ハマチ). Two days were spent on visiting farms and processing plants, getting in touch and understanding the ins and outs of said sustainable aquaculture industry.
Clear water, clean air and beautiful lush green surrounds the Ushine(牛根) farm, located adjacent to Sakura-jima. Along with world-class fish farming processes in place, this is truly an amazing place for fishes to grow healthily.
A long jorney with couple of flights and boat rides to this astonishing place, was all worth it. Special thanks to Aqua Blue Co. for accommodating our entire expedition.

日本九州鹿兒島中央車站相連AMU美食百貨公司+Bic Camera-粵語解述 2019 AMU PLAZA Kagoshima
這裏是擁有很多時尚品牌，10個小劇場的電影院，以及豐富多樣的飲食店的綜合性購物中心。在AMU PLAZA的一樓的AMU廣場，經常有活動舉行，非常熱鬧。這裏有提供鹿兒島鄉土料理的飯店，還有販賣各種特產品和手信的店鋪，作為旅途中順便逛一逛的地方也很不錯。AMU PLAZA前方的巴士乘車點，有開往縣內各地的巴士。AMU總共有5層樓，是百貨公司的SHOPPING MALL型態，與鹿兒島中央車站相連共構，要逛街血拼非常的方便，各大名產都有。重要的日本服飾專櫃跟日系品牌都可以找得到，想要買日本品牌的人絕對可以在這邊逛到翻掉。 地下一樓有超級市場 / UNIQLO / 無印良品，想要買服飾 / 家居 / 可以在這邊一次購足，UNIQLO因為消費稅8%的關係，其實沒有比較便宜，但是有一些期間限定的產品，或是組合價再折多少錢的產品，價錢就非常的棒。一樓就是服飾店各大品牌：Lawry’s Farm / jeanasis / abahouse / GAP / tomorrowland / moussy，以上是我認識的，價位大多在2000日幣起，這些日系品牌的衣服在台灣都很貴，AMU這邊買起來比較便宜。二樓就是日系小物專區，SNOOPY LAND跟HELLO KITTY的專櫃就在二樓，超多SNOOPY的可愛小東西，還有鹿兒島限定版的袋子 / 毛巾 / 明信片等等~~錢在這邊真的守不住阿~~太好買了！當然地下室也有很多好吃的，晚上七點半左右有大出清，許多盒裝的便當或是炸物都便宜出售，或許一餐就可以這樣解決囉！
五樓是摩天輪，需要500日幣乘坐，搭上摩天輪看夜景也是一個有趣的活動。BIC CAMERA是日本的大型連鎖購物中心，主要銷售各種生活家電、3C產品、化妝品、名牌精品、遊戲軟體、音響DVD/CD等產品，因為位處各地交通樞紐站附近，觀光客購物十分便利。

This video introduces an egg shop in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan.
The system is very simple. There are lockers inside of the shop.
If you want eggs, just put your coins and the locker is open.
Those eggs are very fresh and delicious because they are just laid in the morning!

This festival is organized by students of Faculty of Fishery, Kagoshima University!
Kagoshima University cultivated Yellowtale for its study.
Once a year students distribute these cultivated fishes to more 30 restaurants near Kagoshima University.
Those restaurants prepare special cuisine of yellowtale.
In order to taste these yellowtale cuisine, you have o buy tickets.
