Kaibab Camper Village is the only campground on the north side of Grand Canyon that has hookups. It can also accommodate large rigs. It is a small, family owned and operated campground that has many tall Ponderosa pine trees and an open meadow, surrounded by Kaibab National Forest land. It is peaceful and off the beaten path.

Descent from Jacob Lake-Kaibab Plateau (northbound) into Arizona desert (Aug 2, 2013)
On day 10 of an 11-day, 700-mile self-supported bicycle tour through multiple national parks in Arizona & Utah, I traveled 83 miles from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (AZ) to Kanab, UT. This video captured my ~2,800' descent (northbound) off the Kaibab Plateau, winding through the Kaibab National Forest at speeds of up to 43 mph, down into the desert below. Notice the change in vegetation as I progress through the descent (notably, the gradual disappearance of trees), and how you can eventually begin to see the next step of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument far off in the distance. Shot in 1080p HD / 30fps using a helmet-mounted GoPro Hero3 Camera (Black Edition).

The Road To Jacob Lake
Travel along Arizona Route 89 from the Navajo Bridge at Marble Canyon past the Vermillion cliffs to the pine forests of the Kaibab Plateau.
Just to make a correction. The Navajo Bridge seen in the video is the old bridge, which is now closed to traffic and is used by pedestrians. It was built in 1929. The new bridge is to the left and was opened to traffic in 1995.

AZ hiking: Sycamore Canyon, Kaibab National Forest
Hiking the Sycamore Canyon Rim Loop, on the edge of Arizona's Sycamore Canyon Wilderness, in the Kaibab National Forest, from Garland Prairie to Vista Point, Sycamore Falls and the Pomeroy Tanks, to the summit of KA Hill. Lots of ponderosa pine (pinus ponderosa) on the Colorado Plateau. (Some of it being logged.) Unfortunately, no rock climbers at Sycamore Falls. Managed to avoid the thunderstorms that were all around me!

These Bison were filmed on the beautiful drive on the extremely picturesque Highway 67 (a.k.a.Grand Canyon Highway) on the north side of the Grand Canyon, in the Kaibab National Forest. More proof that I'll never make it as a wildlife cameraman. ;)
