Kapparis is a coastal village in Cyprus near Paralimni and Protaras, and 15 kilometres from Famagusta. Most buildings there are new. There some air raid shelters at Kapparis built during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974. Visitors from the UK and Greece come to the village on holiday, and there are a number of places to eat. The beach in Kapparis is called Fireman's Beach, because it's near the fire station upon the cliff top. It was owned by Britain in the 1950s. It is in the Famagusta district 30 miles from Larnaca. The main road though Kapparis is called Kennedy Ave.
