The grand opening of the Olympics took place at the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater on April 22, and schoolchildren and students from Finland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Japan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, France, Indonesia, China, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, and Azerbaijan were invited to the final round. and subjects of the Russian Federation. From the Republic of Tatarstan - 217 participants, from the subjects of the Russian Federation - 108, from foreign countries - 30. The winners of online Internet testing gathered in Kazan. The international olympiad includes 2 rounds: written (assignments in the Tatar language, Tatar literature and the history of the Tatar people and Tatarstan), the creative tour “My Talent” (vocals, choreography, art word, presentation on the theme “My country” (my region) at the choice of participants.
April 25 at the Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil the grand closing of the Olympics took place. Here the awarding ceremony was held for the winners of the Ilkham contest, the holders of grants named after Riza Fakhretdin and Kayum Nasyri, and the names of the winners, prize winners and grand prix winners of the VI International Olympiad in Tatar Language and Literature became known.
The Republic of Uzbekistan at the Olympics was represented by an Uzbek student of the 2nd year of the Urgench professional building college of the Khorezm region Baburbek Egamberganov, who took an honorable 2nd place, having passed all the stages of the tests of distance and intramural tours. It should be noted that in the past 2017, Baburbek Egamberganov won a prize in the “Sounding Word” nomination of the International Russian Language Olympiad for students of schools with a native (non-Russian) language of instruction, held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
