Keansburg is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Keansburg was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1917, from portions of both Middletown Township and Raritan Township (now Hazlet), based on the results of a referendum held on April 17, 1917. The borough is part of the Bayshore Regional Strategic Plan, an effort by nine municipalities in northern Monmouth County to reinvigorate the area's economy by emphasizing the traditional downtowns, dense residential neighborhoods, maritime history, and the natural beauty of the Raritan Bay coastline.

Wild Cat at Keansburg Amusement Park in Keansburg, NJ 9-26-2009
On the suggestion of a friend, Richie & I headed to Keansburg to ride Wild Cat. And, based on the state of the park, I can understand why he said he wasn't sure the park would be open next year. Anyway, that's just speculation. Regardless, here is a POV of the ride. This is one of 4 Schwarzkopf Wild Cat coasters still operating. One of them is at Cedar Point, one is out of the country and the other only operates a couple weeks a year during a fair. Remember to always be safe when taking on-ride videos. Ride a few times before trying to record. Get familiar with the ride. Always wear a wrist strap and be safe. Most importantly follow the parks guidelines, only take on-ride video if the park allows it.

At 86 feet (26m) this S&S Worldwide double shot ride might not be the tallest drop tower, but the park makes up for that by giving guests two rides in a row if they want. The ride is very similar to a space shot tower, also manufactured by S&S, but the double shot features an extra shot while riders are falling down after the first one.
