We visited Kelham Hall and Country park and found lots for kids to explore visiting the area or for a day out.
During the summer Kelham Hall near Newark in Nottinghamshire has a Maze made of corn, known as The Maize. It's a lot of fun. Take a look

The Dome Kelham Hall & Country Park - Newark and Sherwood Concert Band
Newark and Sherwood Concert Band - Musical Director Colum J O'Shea - young, dynamic, full of enthusiasm with some great ideas for the future. Newark and Sherwood Concert band has been discussing with Jonathan Pass the possibility of relocating to Kelham Hall & Country Park. Jonathan now operates Kelham Hall following the decision by Newark and Sherwood District Council to relocate and are delighted to announce that they have moved to new home at The Dome at Kelham Hall. This is a tremendous opportunity to be based at possibly the finest building in Nottinghamshire, or perhaps even the East Midlands. Jonathan has agreed support for the band which will help financially and allow us to continue to grow. We are extremely grateful to him for this! We should also express our grateful thanks to Newark Railway Club who have hosted us for the last couple of years.
As part of our move, we will be undertaking concerts from time to time at Kelham Hall. The first of these is on Friday 15 May 2015 and appropriately is entitled New Beginnings. If you are interested in coming along, more details can be found on our concerts page, along with a link to the online booking system.
