GOOD MORNING AMERICA'S HOMEPAGE:
Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 29, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
House impeachment managers and President Trump’s lawyers have concluded their opening arguments in the Senate. The impeachment trial moves into the question period for both sides on Jan. 29, when senators submit questions in writing to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. The chief justice will read questions out loud, alternating between the majority and minority for up to eight hours.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

I’m sure you’re already aware of the Mafia, thanks to The Godfather or Martin Scorsese films. But I hate to break this to you, The Godfather and Martin Scorsese films aren’t exactly all that historical. So first of all, the media and law enforcement first used that term Mafia, to describe criminal groups in Sicily. You know, the Mediterranean island in Southern Italy. Or the rock that Italy is kicking. Anyway, Giuseppe Esposito, the first known Sicilian Mafia member to move to the United States, fled to New York City after killing a bunch of politicians and wealthy landowners back in Sicily. Esposito ended up in New Orleans, where, in 1881, detective David Hennessey caught him and sent him back to Italy. By this time, the Sicilian Mafia spread throughout both New Orleans and New York City. They wanted revenge. On October 15, 1890, they found Hennessey, now the superintendent and chief of police, and murdered him, execution style. In response, New Orleans police arrested hundreds of Sicilians, eventually accusing 19 for Hennessey’s murder. However, after a bunch of acquittals and mistrials and rumours the jury had been bribed, an angry mob formed outside the prison. On March 14, 1891, they broke into the prison, dragging out the indicted Sicilian men and killing 11 of them. These killings are perhaps the largest known mass lynching in American history.
After the lynchings, the term “Mafia” now entered the American national dialogue. More Americans had anti-Italian feelings, calling for more restrictions to prevent Italians from immigrating to the country. Oh yeah, and the whole Italian mob stereotype was born.
So how did the Sicilian Mafia evolve into the American Mafia? Well, from the 1890s to the 1920s, the rise and fall of various gangs would lead to their organization. And yes, many of these gangs attracted young, poor, Italian men with ties to Sicily. However, it’s important to point out that not all of these gangs were Italian. For example, the Five Points Gang was mainly made up of Irish Americans. Although, its leader, Paul Kelly, was Italian. Well that’s not a very Italian sounding name, Mr. Beat. Yeah, his real name was Paolo Antonio Vaccarelli. He changed his name so it sounded more Irish. The big rival gang to the Five Points Gang was the Eastman Gang, who were mostly Jewish. Other gangs in the mix in New York City in the early 20th century were the Cherry Hill Gang, White Hand Gang, and the Yakey Yakes. Many of these gangs participated in an extortion racket known as The Black Hand. The name came from gang tactics like sending a letter to someone threatening to kill them or kidnap a loved one unless she or he paid a specified amount of money. These letters often were signed with a hand held up as a gesture of warning, which was usually imprinted with black ink.

What Happened When We Visited a Haunted House in New York
When Miss Fanny Van Wyck, born in 1903, passed away in 1988, she could never have imagined her house would be auctioned off by the state against her dying wish. Now her ghost is believed to remain in Miss Fanny's Victorian Party House in Poughkeepsie, New York. The home is known as one of the most haunted in New York State. InsideEdition.com visited the historic location with a psychic medium to explore the house and find out if it really is haunted. The results were truly terrifying.
May 24: Phil Liberatore for Congress; 30yo Man at Parents’ Home; Trump v NFL; JAMES RACISM DEBATE
SHOW TITLES, Thur, May 24, Hour 1: Phil Liberatore for Congress; Beta father failed 30yo son still at home; Trump v NFL
GUEST: Phil Liberatore | running for US Congress in CA District 39, endorsed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio, supporter of The Great White Hope (President Trump), against Sanctuary State. | 2) Weak, girly men stay home past 18. Parents apparently spoiled a 30-year-old man being ordered by a judge to leave their house. The father must be a beta male. | 3) We need to rebuild men — support BOND Read The Antidote. More on this grown man with no job who won’t leave his parents’ home. | 4) Black people destroy everything — their own communities, and football! NFL commissioner Roger Goodell speaks. Trump says they shouldn’t play and maybe shouldn’t be in the country. Jesse talks to callers.
May 24 Hour 2: Why women drawn to weak men? JAMES on rap, ‘racism,’ & black violence
Joel reads YouTube comments responding to Biblical Question: Why are women drawn to weak men? Dirty caller makes nasty comment. Jesse talks to more callers. | 2) Jesse plays The Fallen State trailer with liberal John Fugelsang. Chris from Tampa, FL, blames rap for the negative culture, but Joel says not all of it’s bad. | 3) JAMES FILLS IN FOR JESSE: Another caller trashes rap music and brings up baptist church singing. | 4) False Accusation Culture among women, blacks, gays, etc. — woman lies about being “raped” by police officer at DUI stop. Shaun King tweeted up a storm about it, but had to retract it. Her “civil rights lawyer” apologized for amplifying her false claims. Kenny of Cleveland, OH, thinks “police brutality” against blacks is real, and that Colin Kaepernick and the NFL players aren’t against the military. | 5) James says they’re falsely crying racism & “police brutality” on America. Kenny disagrees, and details his belief about police brutality. James holds him over to third hour.
May 24 Hour 3: JAMES fills in, debates blacks and Hispanic about “racism” and “police brutality”
Caller Kenny of Cleveland, OH, from second hour, believes in “police brutality” against blacks because of video, and says nobody wants to make police back off. But police have been forced to back off, leaving more blacks to die at the hands of one another (the Ferguson Effect). James tells him he’s not getting the whole story, and talks about Walter Scott running from and fighting with the cop who eventually shot him in the back. Kenny’s family members from the old days told him about brutality and false accusations against blacks. James says false accusations happen all the time, but blacks now falsely accuse others — they’ve become what they hate — they’re corrupt! | 2) James calls out Black Lives Matter of Greater New York organizer Hawk Newsome (a “Christian”) who agreed to join Jesse, but went silent when James refused Hawk’s request for donation (money-begging blacks, SMH). Caller Russ of Hampton, VA, has a problem with Jesse saying “racism” doesn’t exist. He tells a story of being stopped, and pulled out of the car by a cop, but he can’t call it racism. He realizes you have to know what’s in someone’s heart. He suggests if whites are profiled as “racist,” then that’s “racism.” James says it’s a false judgment! | 3) Caller Liz of Staten Island, NY, talks about Democrats starting the KKK, and brings up Trump and Charlottesville. She brings up Spike Lee calling out Trump, Jay-Z allegedly getting orders to tell Meek Mill not to meet with Trump. James cuts in and says they don’t want what’s right. Mexican-Italian caller Frank from Chicago talks about blacks throwing bricks at non-blacks. | 4) More black-on-white crime from the old days: Frank tells of blacks jumping him and his brother. He talks about police dealing with drug addicts and dealers. Frank is offended when people say “get some Mexicans” to do a job. He cuts out. Caller Michael of NC says you can’t pass as white if you’re black, and James and Jesse have “racist attitudes.” | 5) Michael brings up story of black guy who he says got tasered by cops for a parking violation outside a store. But James points out the situation escalated — it was not “for a parking violation.”

Brig. Gen. Curtis Irwin 174th Building Dedication
The 174th Attack Wing named its headquarters building in honor of the late Brig. Gen. Curtis J. Irwin, a World War II pilot who commanded the wing from 1958 to 1973 and again from 1975 to 1977, during a ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 4.
Irwin, who died in 2011, helped organize the 138th Fighter Squadron - the first element in the New York Air National Guard and the ancestor of the 174th Attack Wing - and went on to lead the unit through a deployment to German during the Berlin crisis of 1960.
Born, raised, and educated in the Syracuse area, Irwin was a combat veteran having flown as a fighter pilot for the Army Air Corps during World War II.
Irwin began his military service in August 1942 and entered pilot training the following March. After winning his wings and commissioning as a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps in May 1944, he served in the Pacific Theater of Operations as a fighter pilot flying the P-47 Thunderbolt. During this time, he participated in the China Offensive, Western Pacific, Air Offensive of Japan and the Ryukyus Islands campaigns. As result, Irwin was awarded with the Air Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster and four battle stars for his wartime service.
After the war, Irwin assisted in organizing the 138th Fighter Squadron which later became the 174th Fighter wing and is now known as the 174th Attack Wing. The 138th was the first Air National Guard flying unit in New York State.
Irwin is credited with directing the unit's successful conversation to jet aircraft in 1950 helping it to become the first unit in New York State to operate jet aircraft.
During the Berlin Crisis in 1961, the 174th was activated and within 30 days all personnel, planes and equipment were deployed to Phalsbourg Air Base in France. This was the largest movement of jet fighter aircraft in Europe since World War II. Irwin led his unit's planes and crews island hopping across the northern Atlantic route via Labrador, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland and on to the mainland of Europe. The unit was again called up during the Pueblo Crisis and was deployed to Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico.
Completing over 35 years of military service, Irwin was promoted to brigadier general and retired in 1978.
Irwin was also an active member in the local community serving on several boards, including North Syracuse Cemetery. He organized a program of community education for planning and zoning actions compatible with aviation growth. Honors include Thompson Road through Hancock Air Base being named General Curtis Irwin Parkway; being awarded the Governor's Trophy in 1960, 1973 and 1976; receiving the first Department of Defense Award for Domestic Action in 1971; and being named to the North Syracuse School District Wall of Distinction in 1990.
Irwin died on Oct. 5, 2011, at age 88.

Hunter Biden Suspected Of Smoking Cr*ck In Club
Hunter Biden was suspected of smoking cr*ck inside a strip club where he dropped “thousands of dollars” during multiple visits — at the same time he held a seat on the board of a controversial Ukrainian natural gas company, The Post has learned. The incident, which took place at Archibald’s Gentlemen’s Club in Washington, DC, late last year, represents the most recent alleged drug use by Biden, 49, who has acknowledged six stints in rehab for alcoholism and addiction that included a crack binge in 2016.
Story
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in the United States, Canada, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia. It began as a day of giving thanks and sacrifice for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States, and around the same part of the year in other places. Although Thanksgiving has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated as a secular holiday as well.

Presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg said Tuesday that the United States needs “an awful lot more immigrants rather than less.” On his second day campaigning for the Democratic nomination, the former New York City mayor contrasted his views on immigration with President Donald Trump’s restrictive policies and laid out a vision of a multicultural society enriched by immigrants.
