Everglades National Park:
This is a U.S. National Park in South Florida that protects 20 percent of the original Everglades. It is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States and is visited by approximately one million people each year.
Biscayne National Park:
This is another U.S. National Park that is located south of Miami. This park preserves Biscayne Bay and its offshore barrier reefs. Ninety-five percent of the park is water, and there is an extensive mangrove forest in the shore of its bay.
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden:
This is a 83-acre botanic garden with large collections of rare tropical plants that include palms, cycads, vines and flowering trees. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden has over 45,000 members and 1,200 volunteers, and it serves as a museum, laboratory, learning center and conservation research facility, but its main role is the preservation of biodiversity.

Zoo Miami:

Global Water Dances 2015 - Miami, Florida - USA
This was the 2nd year that I participated in Global Water Dances. The first year I had the opportunity to work with dancers at a Festival and create a choreographed piece at a fountain on the campus of the University of South Florida. This past year was a much more spontaneous improvisational dance that connected me to my friends and dance community. Videotaping this performance that took place in a park on the edge of Biscayne Bay gave me the opportunity to see the gift that dance offers to the dancer and to the viewer. Moving together the dancers became one sound combining all the individual voices within the group. As they ended looking out at the water, I understood what it meant to be a part of a movement choir and I heard the voices of those dancing around the world.

Dale Andree is director of National Water Dance, a site-specific, simultaneous performance across the United States bringing attention to water scarcity and sustainability. Currently teaching at New World School of the Arts in the dance and theater departments she has also been on the faculty of the May O’Donnell studio and the LaGuardia School in NYC, Salle Pleyel and the Paris Opera Ballet School in Paris, and has taught at many festivals and workshops in Europe and South America. Her interest in arts in education and improvisation inspired her to create the children’s improvisational dance company “The Good for Something Dancers”. As founder and artistic director of Mary Street Dance Theatre she was twice the recipient of the Florida Individual Artist Fellowship as well as multiple local, state and federal grants and was also a founding member of the Miami Dance Umbrella. Her first dance/film “Between Earth and Sea” was premiered at Miami Screen Dance in 2014 as well as at festivals in Oklahoma and Maine. She received her BFA at Boston Conservatory of Music and her CMA from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute for Movement Studies in New York.
Lynn Neuman is a dancer, choreographer, director, teacher and environmental organizer. Her work has appeared under the auspices of Artichoke Dance Company, based in Brooklyn, NY, since 1995. Lynn pursues art’s intersection with daily life and addresses pressing ecological realities with stark physicality, humor and wit. The Village Voice pronounced her work, “brave, musical and inclined to gamble.” Attitude: The Dancer’s Magazine stated, “It’s magic on the audience was you were afraid to look and afraid to look away!” Philadelphia City Paper proclaimed her to have “a powerful and original movement style loaded with substance and impact.” Currently she is a Marion International Fellow for the Visual and Performing Arts conducting research in communities across the country for TOSS, a collaboration that will result in an evening-length multi-media theatre work examining the psychology of consumerism and waste. Her site-specific dances have been commissioned by the DUMBO Improvement District and Brooklyn Arts Council and were featured in the 2013 DUMBO Arts Festival. Her latest work for the stage Overflow, a response to Hurricane Sandy, premieres in April 2016 in New York City. Ms. Neuman has taught at Peridance, Joffrey Ballet School, Leon Dance Arts and Ballet Arts and has been a guest artist at universities and arts programs across the country. She was a teaching artist at the Lincoln Center Institute from 2002-2012 and was on faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University from 2012-2015. Lynn is a volunteer coastal clean up coordinator for the American Littoral Society and an active member of Brooklyn350.
