Khaosan Road Bangkok – Best party street in Thailand
khaosan road one of the famous streets in Bangkok, is a touristic attraction where you can eat, shop, stay and more to party wild till the morning light.
In this vlog we are going to show you all of the essential things that you can do and see in this booming street so that you can make the best of it.
well let’s jump in in to this vlog and explore it together.
Location
Although khaosan road is not centrally located and little bit away from the touristic areas, but its popularity attracts tourists and locals almost every day
thanks to the new extended MRT underground station Sanam Chai which is the closest to it, from where you can take a Tuk Tuk or a Taxi to reach the main street of Khaosan in a 5 min ride and a cost of 50 Thai baht.
Party
Now the main reason that Khaosan road attracts people is the crazy party nights that this street offers when locals come here to meet tourists and enjoy the vibrant nightlife till the morning light.
This street comes to life after sunset and gradually turns to an entire nightclub along this 1km way, till it reaches its peak after 10 pm till 2 am in the morning, where sometimes you can barely walk due to the crowds not only inside the clubs but also along the way.
Well if you like to enjoy this vibrant nightlife to the maximum you can buy a beer or a drink which will not cost you more than 100 Thai baht and get mixed with the crowds and enjoy the party till you drop off.
But if you are a calm party person than the only way to survive is to grab a drink in one of the calm clubs along the way and enjoy the surroundings.
Street Food & Restaurants
Beside the wild night life in khaosan road, there is a wide variety of street food stalls, local and international restaurants that are extended in the street parallel to the main road of khaosan.
So before hitting khoasan road you better pamper your stomach and kill your hunger which will help you avoid a hangover after.
Our tip to you is to enjoy the street food which has big variety in this area, they are cheap fresh and more over tasty so trying some delicious pad thai and some exotic fruit juices, will not cost you more than a 100 thai baht.
Well another thing you can enjoy, is the bizarre food that is available where you can have some scorpions or bugs and get crazy before even hitting the nightlife.
But if you like to enjoy international restaurants and exotic dishes than don’t go for it.
Shopping & massage or getting a Tattoo
Another option in Khaosan road is the street shopping, where you can buy local style pants or thai souvenirs but our tip is that khaosan is not meant to be a shopping hub.
Beside the shopping you can have some massage sessions just in the middle of the street and enjoy watching the passing tourists and locals, or you can have a tattoo that will remind you of khaosan road your entire life.
Hotels
Now after pampering your stomach and partying wild till the morning light you have many options to stay in the area from hotels to hostels and most of them are cheap as 15 to 20 usd dollars per night.
So if you like to stay the night you can, or you can walk till the end of the street and grab a metered taxi to your booked accommodation.
Our tips is that never take a tuktuk or a taxi that offers to you fixed prices to your hotel since it will be very high priced.
Our main point is to share our updated experience with you and be helpful as much as we can to your future trips to Thailand and other destinations.
Any suggested Ideas are welcomed.

WHAT HAPPENED TO KHAO SAN ROAD? | Bangkok Market, Nightlife & Backpacker Heaven
Khao San Road was the nightlife hub of Bangkok, famous in Thailand. It's still a night market, but is it still a backpacker haven? ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel for a living —
Khao San Road is one of the most famous and iconic areas in Bangkok.. maybe even all of Thailand. Khao San night market has always been a thing, but it was also famous for it's bars, street vendors, fake goods, tattoo shops, massage parlours and more.
This travel vlog takes us on a trip to see if it's still what it was, to see if the old Koh San Road nightlife is still worth visiting! Because In August 2018 restrictions were put on the vendors, stopping them from being out in the day time and restricting where they could go in the evening after 6pm only. Apparently that meant a much more tame existence on the street and less buzz.
From what we experience, the nightlife is still strong, the market setup hasn't gone and things still get a lot more wild if you stay later into the night or early morning! (which we didn't ????)

Day and night on Khaosan Road, Bangkok. The video starts at 5pm and ends around 10pm. This video was shot on a weekday in the low season, so that probably accounts for the lack of people around.
NB: The low season in Thailand is roughly May-October and this coincides with the rainy season too.
Parts of this video include:
0:04 Video preview intro
1:25 Khaosan Road at 5pm
2:30 Buying some fresh mango
5:35 Khaosan Center and Lucky Beer bars, quiet in the daytime
7:30 Carpet eater t-shirt available, TIME magazine's man of the year for 1938 :)

Additional Notes
Mango
Whenever I pass a mango & sticky rice stall in Thailand I can't not order a freshly sliced mango. It's usually 40 or 50 baht for one mango so not cheap, but it's so damn good man.
Carpet Eater t-shirts
Carpet eater t-shirts available. I've never seen a white person wearing one, but I suppose if we can have ironic t-shirts with past dictators on then in South East Asia it's fair game?
D&D inn
This place has a nice rooftop view of Khaosan road. They have a swimming pool and bar too. A small bottle of beer was relatively expensive at 148 baht. You can see the Grand Palace from the back section and a second pool was under construction when I visited. No drones guys, many people must have flown them from this point before.
Rooftop montage from D&D
I'm really not happy with how this one turned out. There were big problems exporting the video due to corrupt files & the music was changed at the last minute. Overall it came out a bit of a mess but you can't win em' all.
Bad singer
Regular Bkk112 viewers will remember the terrible Chiang Mai Inter bar guitarist/singer, it seems on Soi Rambuttri I finally found a guy to give him a run for his money :)
A place where eardrums go to die
Many Khaosan road bars play music at excruciatingly loud volumes and the 1986 bar was no different. The audio taken was completely shot to pieces due to the loud music. One day I'd like to visit a few Khaosan road bars with a decibel reader, and check how bad it really is (the youngsters love it though, right?).
Taxi
Don't take the parked up taxis in Thailand as they are much more likely to quote an inflated price. Meter taxis are plentiful in the Khaosan Road area and many are available on the Burger King side, beside the traffic lights on the main road.

PARTYING IN KHAO SAN ROAD (BANGKOK, THAILAND) | Vlog #208
Tonight we party in one of the most famous street party areas for tourists in Bangkok. According to wiki, Khaosan Road or Khao San Road (Thai: ถนนข้าวสาร) is a short (410 meter long) street in central Bangkok, Thailand constructed in 1892 during the reign of Rama V. It is in the Banglamphu area of (Phra Nakhon district) about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) north of the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew.
Khaosan translates as milled rice, a reminder that in former times the street was a major Bangkok rice market.[1] In the last 20 years, however, Khaosan Road has developed into a world-famous backpacker ghetto. It offers cheap accommodation, ranging from mattress in a box style hotels to reasonably priced 3-star hotels. In an essay on the backpacker culture of Khaosan Road, Susan Orlean called it the place to disappear.

Welcome to my daily vlogs! TRAVEL. FOOD. COMEDY. SINGING. ANTS. LIFE.
I upload a new video every day at 7AM EST!
About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first Youtube channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!
