24-HOURS IN BRUSSELS VLOG (WAFFLES, BEER, CHOCOLATE, GRAND PLACE!!) | 02-01-2019
On the 2nd of January, Robyn's brother dropped us off at Brussels airport so that Robyn and I could catch a train into Brussels Central Station. This will mark the beginning of our 24-hour adventure in Brussels before we catch the train to Amsterdam (where we will spend 2 nights!)
In this video, you'll join us as we walk from Central station directly into the Godiva chocolate shop! :-) Then you'll join us as we check-in to our room at Bedroom.
Afterwards, we will take you on an adventure where we will take you to experience the following;
- Mulled wine
- show you Winter Wonders
- Grand Place
- Cave Du Roy (and eat snails!)
- a place for beer degustation
- the Grand Place light show
- a waffle place
- a comic museum
- a smurf store
We walked into tons of chocolate shops and walked the small cobblestones streets. We did all of this in exactly 24 hours ;)

The area is also widely know to cycling and hiking aficionados and for its hospitable people, alpenhorn players and yodellers. There are also many St Bernards carrying milk cans in their little wagons which is actually an everyday sight in Switzerland.

Ballenberg Switzerland Open Air Museum - Travel Back In Time With Us | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
If you want to see Switzerland’s old charm and how a typical Swiss village looked like before everything was modernized you should definitely check the Ballenberg museum. Since 1978 old farmhouses, stables, bakehouses or chalets are no longer demolished when modern buildings are built in the city but instead they are brought into this open air museum so people of all ages can come and admire them.
Nowadays, there are over 100 historic buildings in this museum which together with the indigenous plants and crops that are cultivated here and over 250 native livestock species, perfectly paint the picture of how rural life in Switzerland looks like.

Brussels Belgium Things To Do | Travel Vlog
I'll show you the places I've been to in Brussels Belgium so that you can get an idea of what its like to visit/travel and some of the things you can do or eat during your stay in Belgium. Think of this video as both a travel guide and a travel vlog. Information of places I've gone to in this video is located down below.
We also went to Brugge which is an amazing medieval city, but we only watched the parade. Brugge and the other Belgian cities are definitely on my list to explore next time. I loved the Belgian waffles, fries, chocolates, and architecture.
