Walking from Kyiv Centre to Podil - Walking tour with an Englishman - POV - Guided Tour Kiev
Thanks for joining me for another one of my videos. Today you find me in the wonderful city of Kyiv (Kiev to Russians and some in the west). I walk without cuts to the shot from the Centre of Kyiv to Podil. Starting on the Northside of Khreschatyk Street at the top of Volodymyrs'kyi descent. I venture across the Glass Bottom Bridge that was newly erected in 2019 and continue down the Hill where I encounter amazing art, beautiful views and Red Squirrels.
I’m documenting a lot of travel lately simply for prosperity purposes - Its fantastic that I can share those experiences also via YouTube.
Thank you kindly for watching, commenting, liking and even sharing these videos I try to respond to every comment (good and bad).
I am not working for any tourist board, government or sponsor so the views in this video are entirely my own.

This week we’re showing you around Kiev, Ukraine. This was our first time travelling to the country, so we hardly knew what to expect, though we did have an inkling we’d find churches with onion domes, borsht on every menu, and very cheap prices, but that was it!

The following is our travel guide to the city. Now let us share with you 20 things to do in Kiev on your next visit!
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Kiev! This was our first time travelling in Ukraine, but we were hooked right from the start.
This destination felt very underrated with few tourists around, yet we were surrounded by beautiful architecture, there were churches galore to visit, the cuisine was hearty and filling, and everything was super affordable.
If you are thinking of travelling to Kiev, we hope this video was able to give you a taste of what it’s like.

Kyiv Ukraine, A week in Kyiv with locals. Ukraine's capital city.
Kyiv, Kiev, Киев or in Ukrainian Київ. Welcome to Ukraine's Capital.
Eastern Europe, a place I've always loved for it's authenticity, Kyiv now being one of my top recommendations when visiting the east. Compared to other Cities in Europe Kyiv still has a very Authentic feel. On the street you will hear Russian and Ukrainian being spoken with most of the younger generation knowing a bit of English. Don't count on many people speaking English though and I would advise learning a little bit of Ukrainian or Russian if you want to explore more of the local areas. I will be back to Kyiv, I saw so much and I feel even 8 nights wasn't enough for me, everybody has this idea that people in Eastern Europe are unhappy, unfriendly and have the classic stone face (not smiling) which is not true, I mean I'm the first person to say why would you be smiling anyway if nothing funny has been said haha. I found most if the people very warming, saw old friends and also make new ones, soon to return.
If you are about to travel to Kyiv, Ukraine Enjoy the food and the city! If you want any info about something you saw in the video please comment and I will answer any questions you have.
Thank you Kyiv for the memories.

Kiev Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Kiev in Ukraine.
Kiev is the capital of the Ukraine and, as with Rome, is built on seven hills. It is dominated by many churches and monasteries. The Latin Quarter originated in 1837 according to the design of Vicenti Beretti, with splendid buildings such as the National Philharmonic and the Baroque Opera and Ballet Theatre that is a more recent building because the original burned down soon after its construction. A unique monument of architectural splendour and culture overlooks the upper town, Sofiysky Sobor Cathedral, that was modelled on the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The Orthodox Church is one of several mainstream Christian religions the most well known of which was established in Russia. The city’s river is affectionately known as Father Dnepr. It is large and an ancient trading route between the north and the Black Sea. The river flows beneath seven bridges that connect both sections of the city. The Babi Yar Memorial is located at the north western edge of the city in the once two and a half kilometre long and fifty metre deep Babi Yar Canyon. Today it is known as a place of gross inhumanity and is one of the biggest mass graves in history. A place of tragedy and contemplation. Following Independence, Kiev has been transformed. This Soviet city has turned into an East European metropolis. But its culture, history and ambience of bygone days has managed to survive right up to the present day.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Walking in KIEV (KYIV) / Ukraine ????????- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Kiev (also Kyiv and Ukrainian: Київ) is the largest city and capital of the Ukraine. As one of the oldest cities in Europe it has a rich history. Today's walk starts after some summer rain at the Maidan, the Independence Square in the center.
The inner city is dominated by Soviet style architecture along the main street Khreshchatyk. We walk along this famous street with many shops and restaurants until the entertainment center Arena. From there we head to the sports stadium Palats Sportu and continue on the Tarasa Shevchenko Boulevard. Walking uphill we see the Kiev Opera House and also visit the St. Volodymyr's Cathedral.
More sights in the center are also good for a visit so we pass the Golden Gate and finally end the walk around the St. Sophia's Cathedral and its bell tower.
