Hiking Saguaro National Park West - Kings Canyon Hike
This video describes the Kings Canyon Trail in Saguaro National Park West, outside of Tucson, Arizona, the way we found it on 12-21-2017. The hike was 7.5 miles long and gained a total of 1850 feet in elevation. It took us 4 hours to complete this scenic climb to the top Wasson Peak and back. We took the road on the way up and took a wash that parallels the road on the way back down. It's what I would consider a moderate hike in difficulty. The trail head is on Kinney Road across from, and just northwest of, the Desert Museum entrance.

Hiking Saguaro National Park West - Gould Mine Trail - Sendero Esperanza Trail - King Canyon
This video takes us to the Gould Mine in Saguaro National Park the way it was on 1-4-2018. The hike starts at the King Canyon trail head not far Tucson's Desert Museum. We followed the Gould Mine Trail up to the Sendero Esperanza Trail then took that to the Hugh Norris Trail. We turned around and back tracked to the Gould Mine and then took the Sendero Esperanza Trail over to King Canyon. We took the wash down the canyon and back to the trail head where we started making a fun loop hike. There is not a whole lot to see at the mine. There is a large pile of waste rock near the grated over shaft and a small rock walled structure.

Day 1 of our annual Tucson trip. It's a bit drizzly during the morning which will shorten our hike in the Kings Canyon area in Saguaro National Park. But the shorter hike let us visit the Sonora Desert Museum and see these great birds.
Hike to Seven Falls, Bear Canyon Trail 2017| Tucson, Arizona
The video came out a little shaky sorry about that! The hike was bumpy but it was a pleasant experience! Once you get to the top of the trail you get to a place called Seven Falls where natural pools ok water collect from mountaintop snow and rain. It was really cold to get in it so we just observed it. Monsoon coming in two months getting ready for my new video! Thanks for watching!

Hiking Saguaro National Park West - Hugh Norris Trail
This video describes the scenic Hugh Norris Trail in Saguaro National Park West just outside of Tucson, Arizona the way it was on 12-23-2017. The 5 mile trail, one way, climbs out of the parking lot and follows a ridge to Wasson Peak. There is a long stretch of stairs soon after you leave the trail head, made from rocks, which looked like it was a lot of work to build and will last a very long time. The trail intersects the Sendero Esperanza trail and the King Canyon trail. the 10 mile round trip took us 5 hours to complete and gained a total of 2530 feet of elevation. The trail head is on Hohokam Road not far from it's intersection with Kinney Road.

Tucson Hike - Sweetwater Trail 2 - HD
This is the Sweetwater trail that starts at the west end of El Camino Del Cerro and leads up to Wasson peak in the Tucson mountains. The first time I hiked this I didn't quite make it to the summit but this time I did. The hike is about 10 miles round trip and the climb is about 2000 feet.
