Indenfor i det næsten 400 år gamle hus bliver du mødt af en helt moderne udstilling. Her er ingen støvede plancher eller tyssende kustoder, men plads til at udforske historien på egen hånd. Det er en oplevelse at være gæst på Køge Museum uanset om du er syv eller 97.

Introfilm til udstillingen Krudtbrødre - Mod har ingen alder.
Udstillingen kører på Køge Museum fra 20/6-15, og handler om den skæbnesvangre dag i 1710, hvor linjeskibet Dannebroge og dets tapre besætning reddede den danske flåde ved at sejle alene ud mod den svenske flåde, der var på vej ind i Køge Bugt. Efter flere timeres kamp eksploderede Dannebroge og skibet gik ned med næsten hele besætningen.

Visit the exhibition at Køge Museum from June 20th 2015, which tells the story about the ship of the line Dannebroge and its brave crew who saved the Danish naval fleet by sailing alone out to meet the Swedish fleet on its way into the bay of Køge. After several hours of battle the Dannebroge ultimately exploded and sank with almost the entire crew.

Køge Museum by Museum Sydøstdanmark
concept for the newly reopened municipal museum in Køge. The storyline of the first exhibition since the reopening describes the sinking of a warship that exploded in a battle against Sweden and that has been in the bay of Køge ever since. The exhibition follows the course of that fateful day on October 4, 1710. Via a fact track and a drama track, visitors can use their tablet guides to follow the dramatic events of that day, which claimed almost 600 lives. While the fact track tells of the objects that have been salvaged by divers and their historical context, multimedia fictional stories were developed for the drama track, which provide visitors access to the individual destinies of the protagonists.
For the museum’s permanent exhibition area – which revolves around science education – each researcher, e.g. of Celtic lake dwellings, is given the time and space to present their work comprehensively in the form of video interviews and blogs as well as to publish their latest results.
