Il Korup National Park si trova nella provincia sud-occidentale del Camerun e si estende per 1.260 km 2 di foresta primaria per lo più indisturbata. È reputato una delle più antiche e ricche foreste tropicali dell'Africa in termini di diversità floreale e faunistica. È il parco nazionale più accessibile della foresta pluviale del Camerun con un'infrastruttura di alloggio come base e una vasta rete di sentieri aperti ai visitatori. Il parco è adatto per il birdwatching e famoso per la visualizzazione dei primati incluse specie come il drillo (Mandrillus leucophaeus), il colobo rosso di Preuss (Procolobus preussi), il cercopiteco dalle orecchie rosse (Cercopithecus erythrotis) e lo scimpanzé di Nigeria e Camerun (Pan troglodytes ellioti). Cross River National Park 2, Nigeria
Along with Korup National Park in the Republic of Cameroon, Cross River National Park is an important biotic reserve which contains one of the oldest rainforests in Africa. It is also one of the 25 United Nations acclaimed biodiversity hot spots in the World. Some portions of the Park lies in the Guinea-Congolian region of the lowland rainforest refugia with closed canopy and scattered emergent trees which reach a height of between 40 and 50 meters. Studies have revealed that vegetation here has evolved over 60 million years ago.

Arguably Cameroons most famous park, guided tours inside the park attract many tourists each year. As no accommodation is available inside the park, a camp sites close to the entrance and lodges at Waza just north of the entrance to the park, provides ample accommodation for tourists. Access to the park can be difficult in the rainy season.
The 170 000 hectare Waza National Park is situated in the north of Cameroon and tourists can expect to see herds of elephant and other antelope, lions, hyenas and a myriad of bird species during their visit to the park as the the landscape alters between forest, savanna and wet grassy plains.

Tourism - Cross River National Park, Nigeria
Cross River National Park is located between Latitude 5o 05’ and 6o 29’ N, and Longitudes 8o 15’ and 9o 30’ E, in the extreme south-eastern corner of Nigeria, in Cross River State. It covers a total area of about 4000sq km of mainly primary moist tropical rainforest ecosystem in the North and central parts, and montane mosaic vegetation on the Obudu Plateau. It is Nigeria’s last Great Rainforest Reserve, and the closest to the Mangrove Swamps on the coastal region.

Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes is a 1984 British film directed by Hugh Hudson and based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel Tarzan of the Apes (1912). Christopher Lambert stars as John Clayton / Tarzan, Lord of the Apes and Andie MacDowell as Jane; the cast also includes Ian Holm, Sir Ralph Richardson. The film was shot in Korup National Park in western Cameroon and in Scotland. Though the name Tarzan is in the film's title, it is not mentioned at all in the film itself. The Ape Man is referred to either as Lord Greystoke or John.
