Kreuzberg, Kottbusser tor Berlin Night walking ???????? Germany 2019 [4K]
Kreuzberg Berlin around Kottbusser tor is diverse cultural life, its experimental alternative lifestyles, a home to some of Berlin’s best nightclubs today.
Once West Berlin’s poorest area, Kreuzberg became a hotspot for counterculture after the Berlin Wall came down, and now boasts countless museums and galleries, as well as many of the city’s trendiest cafés and restaurants. There is the large Turkish community in Kreuzberg.
This is Berlin: Kreuzberg
Today we go on a tour of Kreuzberg, a Berlin neighbourhood home to a lot of artists, musicians, and creatives. Kreuzberg is the heart of many alternative music scenes, and is the epicentre of the edgy and celebrated Berlin street art culture.
Kottbusser Tor – known to locals as Kotti – has the vibrancy of a city where everyone comes together to have a drink and experience a great night out. At the same time, other parts of Kreuzberg are more laid back, like the canal at Paul Linke Ufer, or one of the many large parks such as Görlitzer Park, where you can enjoy specialty coffee, take a nice walk, or just lie about with a good book. The beauty of Kreuzberg is that it brings all of these diverse lifestyles together.

Two Sides of Berlin: Kreuzberg and Marzahn
Berlin has many sides. Kreuzberg is a multicultural hub that many people have made their home. Marzahn, in contrast, is made up of mainly white Germans who are voting in larger numbers for far-right parties. Here are two stories of the same city.

Berlin's Kreuzberg with a Guide
I’ve long wanted to better understand Berlin's Kreuzberg neighborhood — traditionally the home of many Turkish immigrants, and today gentrifying fast. Just like many Mexicans are guest laborers in the USA (doing the scut work that middle-class Americans and their kids don’t want to do), Turks have long served that “Gastarbeiter” role in the much wealthier Germany. As usual, the guest workers get the worst neighborhoods. And, in the case of the Turks here in postwar Berlin, it was “up against the Wall”...the Berlin Wall. Then, suddenly, in 1989, the Wall’s gone and Kreuzberg is free to blossom. I enjoyed a delightful afternoon with Hashim Anik, a Turkish German guide who grew up right here and has seen a lot of positive change. Join us for a little walk. I’d love to hear about any Kreuzberg experiences you’ve enjoyed.

New Year Walk in Kreuzberg 3 ???????? Berlin Germany [4K] Silvester 2020
Silvester 2020 Berlin, none really compare to the sheer chaos and craziness of Berlin. Long before the clock strikes 12am, Berliners will have been ringing in ‘Silvester’ with an inordinate number of fireworks, lighting up the streets and sky – terrifying tourists and those unprepared for the ecstatic celebrations.

Bilderbuch Berlin-Kreuzberg

Graffiti and Street-Art Tour in Kreuzberg SO 36, Berlin - Germany 4K Travel Channel
Our walking tour with Synke in Kreuzberg brought us a set of new experiences about an urban residential area, that also attracts the great street art artists of the world.
We met our blogger female friend Synke for the first time in Nantes. On the ITB Berlin she invited us to join her with the camera on a photographic safari through Kreuzberg, which we gladly accepted.
Meeting point was the suburban train station Silesian Gate. She gave us a short statement about her activities. In addition to her blog she organizes photo tours in Berlin and also conducts courses in photography. One of her specialty are bulb exposures at night, see
Further participants of the photo tour arrived and were cordially welcomed. Among them were photo-enthusiasts from Canada and Italy.
Synke first led us to a fallow area in the Curvystrasse. The area, originally overgrown with bushes, had turned into a camp by homeless persons. The artist BLU, whose Street art we have already seen in Athens, painted the surrounding façades. After the clearing of the camp, BLU painted over the paintings, presumably to not grant advantage to real estate speculators.
Next destination was the Oberbaum Bridge. On the way there we saw a number of street art, including another of BLU. From a distance we could take a look at the East Side Gallery.
The Oberbaum Bridge was planned as a follow-up construction of a former custom bridge. At the same time, Siemens & Halske received the permission to set up a railway bridge almost in the same place. One agreed on a common railway and highway bridge. The result was an impressive building.
But our destination lies somewhere else and so we turn around and go along the Skalitzer Street, past the former barracks of the 3rd Foot Guards, the Emmauskirche and the subway station Görlitzer Bahnhof.
When turning from the Oranienstrasse into the Manteuffelstrasse we see a beautiful painting of ROA, whose wolf we already admired in Rome.
We had planned to have breakfast in the historic market hall, but unfortunately, it was closed on Sunday.

What to Do in Berlin /// Friedrichshain/ Kreuzberg /// Visit Berlin
A little vid on some of my favourite places in Berlin that I filmed last year. Please comment if you've got any additional recommendations or any questions.
*Edit: Flights are even cheaper now. A friend of mine got a flight out there for as little as £5!
It is the S9 from the airport, but the direction is Spandau.
Just realised when I'm describing 'Chalet' club, I'm actually talking about 'Renate'! Whoops!
Skip to 08:10 for info on clubs.
Additional MUST-DO things:
- Go to Urban Nation street art museum (it's free!)
- Visit Teufelsberg (abandoned spy tower - you'll need to rent a bike + take it on the S-Bahn).
- Visit Flughafen Tempelhof (an abandoned airport, where many refugees are currently staying).

Walking in Berlin. Kreuzberg - Berlin wall
【4K】Walking around Kottbusser Tor, Berlin, Germany (Kreuzberg at night)
[4K] Walking around Kottbusser Tor, Berlin, Germany (Kreuzberg at night)
Kottbusser Tor is the name given to a square-shaped intersection and a subway station in Berlin's Kreuzberg district (Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district). The square and the underground station are also called Kotti. It is the center of the northeastern half of Kreuzberg, the historic SO 36.

Berlin Walk Kreuzberg Mehringdamm ???????? Germany [4K] 2020
Mehringdamm is a street in southern Kreuzberg, Berlin.
Kreuzberg has many diverse restaurants and street-food vendors, but is particularly famed for its Turkish cuisine. Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebab is far from a well-kept secret, but their doner is absolutely worth the wait.
Curry 36 serves up what's said to be the city's most delicious currywurst - a Berlin speciality consisting of a sausage drenched in spicy tomato sauce.
And since Mustafa's is located just yards from Curry 36, the inevitable crowds on this section of Mehringdamm can baffle unwary tourists.
Berlin, Germany - Kreuzberg neighborhood & Oberbaumbrücke (Oberbaum Bridge)
The Oberbaum Bridge (German: Oberbaumbrücke) links the neighborhoods of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, which were once divided by the Berlin Wall. In this video we focus on the Kreuzberg area, we only walked the Friedrichshain side along the Spree River where the old wall once stood. We then enjoyed walking around the bridge before heading into the Kreuzberg. It is a nice mixture of avante garde and counterculture types, along with trendy shops and cafes. We also enjoyed going into one of the train stations that are referred to as ghost stations and are leftovers from the cold war that divided Berlin at one time.

Today we take you with us to Kreuzberg
Recommended by locals we started off at Curry 36 to try their famous Currywurst.
It was our first taste of Currywurst and it really is a flavour bomb with sausage and chips bombarded with sauce and mayo.
There is plenty of hip vintage fashion on offer here and with the beautiful architecture of the buildings as the backdrop we absolutely fell in love with this area of Berlin
If you're looking for a cool cafe to relax and have some delicious food then head down to Hallesches Haus...a hipster style cafe with high ceilings and shared tables
The food on offer tastes very fresh and delicious and the coffee is pretty good too.
I had a really yummy cheese and tomato sandwich while Rachel was a little more daring and had a sandwich with Pear inside it.
Theres also a little homewares section selling cool little knick knacks and a great courtyard for those warmer months
We stumbled on a tourist poster of Australia which seemed rather perplexing
Berliners love their music and vinyl stores are a great place to see whats the latest trends hitting the German Music scene
The street art is everywhere around this area and it adds to the creative vibe that Kreuzberg seems to take in it's stride
A short stroll will get you to Marheineke markthalle. A great little market with a wide selection of food on offer
Here you will find alot of fruit and vegetables. Plenty of varieties of cold meats and ofcourse our favourite food...bread.
After loading up on food supplies we walked nearby to Barbie Bar which is a very quirky bar indeed.
There are barbies everywhere here. On the tables, mantle places and all over the bar. We enjoyed some great German beer while relaxing in this dimly lit haven.
Places to see in ( Berlin - Germany ) Kreuzberg
Places to see in ( Berlin - Germany ) Kreuzberg
Sprawling Kreuzberg is home to students, artists and a large Turkish population, with many restaurants around Kottbusser Tor. The quirky Bergmannkiez area is known for thrift shops, laid-back cafes and the landscaped Viktoriapark. The gritty area near Görlitzer Park offers street art, casual bars and food stalls at Markthalle Neun. Shaded pathways along the Landwehr Canal attract walkers, cyclists and loungers.
As anyone from Kreuzberg will tell you, this district is not just the coolest in Berlin, but the hippest location in the entire universe. Kreuzberg has long been famed for its diverse cultural life, its experimental alternative lifestyles and the powerful spell it exercises on young people from across Germany. In 2001, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain were merged to form one administrative borough. When it comes to club culture, Friedrichshain is now out in front – with southern Friedrichshain particularly ranked as home to the highest density of clubs in the city.
Along the Spree’s northern and southern banks, locals and visitors applaud the street musicians on the Oberbaumbrücke bridge ready to rock the world’s concert venues tomorrow. The borough is a stage and home for creativity – and not only when it comes to music. Here, artists create free spaces for their work – on the streets, in backyard flats and ateliers. Berlin’s start-up scene is buzzing around Moritzplatz square, busily designing the ideas that will shape our lives in future. Creative space is shared and used together – for urban gardening, for example, in the Prinzessinnengärten (Princess Gardens). Or in the Markthalle Neun market hall, when the great street food outlets join forces for a Thursday evening your taste buds will just love.
Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg also has more mainstream offerings. Here, you find some of Berlin’s most ambitious museums, including the Berlinische Galerie showing art from 1870 to the present day, the Martin-Gropius-Bau arts venue, the Jewish Museum and the Deutsche Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology). Or you could spend an exciting evening of contemporary dance, theatre and performance at one of the three Hebbel am Ufer (HAU) stages. The borough also boasts the English Theatre Berlin, the city's only English-language theatre, as well the converted substation Umspannwerk Ost, now a restaurant and arts venue housing the Berliner Kriminaltheater with its programme of classic murder mysteries.
( Berlin - Germany ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Berlin . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Berlin - Germany
