BEST MOUNTAIN VIEWS EVER?!? Hiking in Fann Mountains, Tajikistan
During my most recent trip to Central Asia, I had the chance to hike the absolutely stunning Lakes Loop Trek in the Fann Mountains of Tajikistan. This spectacular 3-day trek takes you to a number of mind-blowing lakes, over huge mountain passes, and alongside nomadic shepherds whose families have lived here for centuries.
Hiking in Tajikistan should be at the top of any adventurous traveller's bucket list, but surprisingly few people ever make it here. What that means is you get to enjoy these fantastic views without any of the crowds. Move over Patagonia and Nepal - Tajikistan is the new trekking hotspot!
We started our hike at Artuch Alplarger Camp and usually finished back at the same camp but we finished up at Vertical Alauddin Camp. We camped next to the Kulikalon lakes and Alauddin lake along the way, and you can do this hike either fully independent by bringing all your own food and sleeping gear or opt to do it supported by joining a tour. I did the latter with a couple of other blogger and photographer friends. We had a lot of fun, and even though the hike was challenging for me, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Hey Guys This is our first Travel Blog Video which we shoot In Beautiful Tajikistan The second largest lake in the Fansk mountainous complex is Kulikalon. It is located at an altitude of about 2800 m in the western side of the great Kulikalon basin. In summer, warm weather reigns here, thick juniper forests grow. The lake water also becomes quite warm, which allows you to even swim in it.
Вторым по размерам озером Фанского горного комплекса является Куликалон. Располагается оно на высоте около 2800 м в западной стороне большого Куликалонского котловина. В летнее время здесь царит тёплая погода, растут густые арчовые леса. Озёрная вода тоже становится достаточно тёплой, что позволяет даже купаться в нём.

TREKKING TOUR IN FAN MOUNTAINS
Tajikistan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and more than 93% of it is mountainous. Ninety-three percent of Tajikistan's territory is mountainous, and the mountain glaciers are the source of its rivers.
Fan Mountains – a popular tourism and mountain climbing area in Tajikistan. There are about 100 passes in height from 3200 to 5060 m (Mirali). The Fan Mountains are the highest part of Zeravshan range with 11 peaks above 5,000 m with sharp fantastical pointed forms. In the bosom of these mountains are about 30 lakes, the largest of which are Iskandarkul, and the most beautiful and picturesque, famous for the unique play of colors - Kulikalon. On the slopes of the mountains and upper valleys (altitude 3,000 m) – there are thickets of juniper forests, giving the appeal to the valleys of rivers Arg, Sarimat, Karakul and etc. You can see a birch, a poplar, a sea buckthorn in the valleys; well-spread shrubs - wild rose, barberry, currant, meadow-sweet; large areas of the slopes and valleys are covered with meadow, steppe, and semi-desert vegetation (Čair, Eremurus, astragalus, onion, sage, mint, thyme and etc.). Approaches to the passes of Fan Mountains are in the valleys of rivers Shing, Voru, Artuch, Pasrud (in the north) and Iskandar-river and Karakul (in the south). The starting points for the entrances are known Penjikent, Khujand and Dushanbe cities. Fan Mountains were sung by Yuri Vizbor, who was amazed by unusually beautiful scenery of this region. Sightseeing the Dushanbe city: Dushanbe is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan. Dushanbe means Monday in Tajik (Persian language), and the name reflects the fact that the city grew on the site of a village that originally was a popular Monday marketplace. Situated at the confluence of two rivers, Varzob and Kofarnihon.
Tajikistan United Museum – includes the exhibits on history, natural history and art.
Museum of ethnography – professional showcase of 20th centure Tajik art. The collection includes pottery, carpets, cloaks, embroidery, jeweler, musical instruments, woodwork and more. Sleeping Budda.

Hissar fortress 30km outside of city – the remains of an 18th century fortress, occupied until 1924 is located in 30 km west of Dushanbe. Beside the fortress are two plain madrassahs, one dating from the 18th century and the other 19th, and beyond them is the mausoleum of 16th century (25km). Drive to Dushanbe.

TREKKING TOUR IN FAN BERGEN
Tadzjikistan is een van de mooiste landen in de wereld, en meer dan 93% van het is bergachtig, en de gletsjers zijn de bron van de rivieren.
Fan Bergen - een populaire toeristische en bergbeklimbaar gebied in Tadzjikistan. Er zijn ongeveer 100 passen in hoogte 3200-5060 m (Mirali). De Fan Bergen zijn het hoogste deel van Zeravshan range met 11 toppen boven de 5000 m met scherpe fantastische puntige vormen. In de schoot van deze bergen zijn ongeveer 30 meren, waarvan de grootste zijn Iskandarkul, en de mooiste en meest pittoreske, bekend om de unieke spel van kleuren - Kulikalon. Sightseeing de Dushanbe stad: Dushanbe is de hoofdstad en grootste stad van Tadzjikistan. Dushanbe betekent Monday in de Tadzjiekse (Perzisch), en de naam weerspiegelt het feit dat de stad groeide op de plaats van een dorp dat oorspronkelijk was een populaire maandag markt. Gelegen aan de samenvloeiing van twee rivieren, Varzob en Kofarnihon.
Tadzjikistan Verenigde Museum - omvat de tentoonstellingen over de geschiedenis, de natuurlijke historie en kunst.
Museum van etnografie - professionele showcase van 20 ste centure Tadzjiekse kunst. De collectie bestaat uit aardewerk, tapijten, mantels, borduurwerk, juwelier, muziekinstrumenten, houtwerk en meer. Slapen Budda.

Iskandarkul meer: lengte - 5км, breedte - 3,5км en diepte aan - 80м, gelegen op hoogte 2250м. Het hart van Fan bergen, de schat van Tyan-Shan, een schilderachtige Iskandarkul meer is een van de mooiste meren in Tadzjikistan. Het hebben van smaragd groen en blauw van kleur. Een snelle bestrooien Iskandar-Darya rivier stroomt uit het meer, de vorming van een prachtige en prachtige waterval, de zogenaamde de Fan Niagara dat valt uit de hoogte van 38 meter.

After having breakfast meeting on the lobby and drive visit to the Gissar fortress, the remains of the Bukhara Emirate Beck’s palace. Its thick walls once guarded a pool, garden, and palace, while the fortress itself opposed a noisy market and caravanserai. What remains today is a piece of wall and gate towers which represent the 18th and 19th century style. The place is famous for its center of commerce during Silk Road. You will also be able to visit the Old Medressa (MadrasaiKuhna) of 16-17th century with a museum inside, the new Medressa of 17-18 century as well as Caravan Saray. Drive from Gissar back to Dushanbe where you will be able to visit the Tajik National Museum with the Tajik pride- the biggest Buddha in Nirvana Dushanbe, which means “Monday” in Tajik, developed on the site of a Monday marketplace village “Dushanbe-Bozor”. During the Soviet time, the city became the most important center of production in Tajikistan, but the Shohmansur covered market reflects Dushanbe’s historical ties to the local trade. Dushanbe impresses with its tree lined streets and building outlining the Soviet Architectural style of 60th. Enjoy walking around the monument of IsmoiliSomoni-the forefather of Tajik nation, which is situated in the main square.

Dushanbe – Anzob pass – Lake Iskanderkul -Lake Allaundin
rive from Dushanbe to Iskanderkul Lake. Drive will take 3-4 h. over Anzob tunnel and along Fon-Dariye river. This lake named of the name of Alexander the Great allocated on South part of Fann mountains. After lunch continue to the camp Vertical in Allautdin lakes. Allaudin lakes are a pearl of Fan mountains. The changing colour scale of these lakes will not leave indifferent any person. The vegetation located round lakes supplements color of these pearls. Lakes are located at height of 2780 m in a mountain valley of the river Chapdara. Driving time 7-8 h. Overnight in tents, Meal(B,L,D)

Lake Allaundin- Mutnoe lake - back to camp
After having breakfast today you will have radial (acclimatization) hike from Allaundin lake up to the valley till the lake Mutnoe. From lakes Allaudin tourists usually make an one-day radial exit to Mutniy lakes by passing small lake Piala on which coast it is possible to have a rest and fill up stocks of pure and cool water. In 2 - 3 hours of a way the track will lead you to the most high-mountainous lake Mutniy, 3600 metres located at height. From lake Mutnoe you can see grandiose and majestic tops of the Fan mountains, which height over 5000 metres and highest of them - Chimtarga (5480 m.) pick. Hiking time 6-7 h

Lake Allaundin -Laudan pass- Kulikalon lakes
At the morning start clime to the pass Laudand, the trial goes over juniper pine trees forests amazing view from pass Laudan (3623 m.) witch connect these lakes with a valley of Allaudin lakes. Lakes are located at height of 2800 m., round lakes grow wild fur-trees, giving to Kulikalon lakes an original cosines and a microclimate. The fish has been deduced here by an artificial way in 1956. The basic and main sight of Kulikalon valley is is the majestic Kulikalon rock wall stretched by a huge wall in the south of a valley from the east on the west. On a wall there are three basic peaks: Adamtash, Mirali and Maria. Hiking time 7-8 h

Kulikalon lakes- Chukurak pass - Lake Chukurak
After having breakfast today the group will do hike to the lake Chukurak, the lake located at height of 2455 m. lies through pass Chukurak (3060 m.), ascent on which from Kulikalon lakes will take no more than 3-4 h. At the same time descent to lake Chukurak will take 1,5 - 2 hours through the picturesque gorge covered with wild fur-trees woods. Lakes are located in small gorge where you can stay for the night. On the bank of the second blue lake for this purpose there are small platforms. From lake Chukurak two trials go down to the camp Artuch and upward - to pass Guitan (2600 m.). Hiking time 6-7 h
