The most barren of the Cyclades, Kythnos island, it is a place where you can find combined the wild beauty and the Cycladic architecture. There are two main ports, Mericha and Loutra with Mericha to be the smallest one.
During your sailing holidays in Kythnos, do not forget to visit the most impressive beach of the the island, Kolona, which is actually a thin strip of sand that connects a little island (Agios Loukas) with the mainland of Kythnos. You can approach both beaches with your sailing boat and leave it anchored for some hours.

From Los Angeles to Kythnos island - Greece Sony A6500
My good friend Chris traveled all the way from Los Angeles with his wife, his newborn daughter and his 4 years old son. It was a pleasure to take them to my summer house in Kythnos and show them around. Unfortunately, I didn't have a drone for breathtaking panoramic shots, and during our short 3 day trip we didn't make it to Kolona beach, Loutra hot springs and some other beautiful locations. We will do them next time and hopefully with my new phantom 4 pro by then :p

Sunrise Over Kythnos
An early morning walk during our family holiday on the Greek Island of Kythnos. We hiked from Loutra and followed Footpath Number 1. It took about an hour to reach the abandoned ancient Castle of Olia. I walked it again the next day and the second time we found the section of footpath we missed and should have followed on our first visit.
