Quebec retailer Simons set to open first Ontario store

L’espace est immense, mais y règne néanmoins un sentiment d’intimité propice au vagabondage parmi les vêtements. La circulation est maitrisée, nous guidant toujours plus avant. Les espaces de service, dont la couleur vive sur les surfaces luisantes ponctue la scénographie, sont nos points de repère. « De retrouver un espace d’une telle qualité dans un centre commercial confirme le respect qu’a la marque pour sa clientèle ». Ce devrait être partout à la mode.

Peter Simons is President and CEO of La Maison Simons. Founded in 1840, the Quebec-based retailer is Canada’s oldest privately owned family business.
Since taking the reins in 1996, Simons has emphasized aesthetic and sustainable design choices that enhance the customer experience. His leadership helped the chain expand from Quebec City to 15 stores across Canada. In-house clothing brands and cutting-edge distribution practices have enabled the company to compete with online giants.
Simons is a vocal advocate for fair fiscal and social practices. He is regularly called upon to share his expertise on the Canadian retail landscape and how local merchants can compete in today’s global market.
In 2008, Simons became a Knight of the National Order of Quebec, and in 2018, he was named a Member of the Order of Canada.
Peter Simons est président et chef de la direction de La Maison Simons. Fondée en 1840 à Québec, cette entreprise de détail est la plus vieille société familiale privée du Canada.
