Cinquantenaire-Jubel Park-Brussels:
Parc du Cinquantenaire is a large public, urban park (30 hectares) in the easternmost part of the European Quarter in Brussels, Belgium.
Most buildings of the U-shaped complex which dominate the park were commissioned by the Belgian government under the patronage of King Leopold II for the 1880 National Exhibition commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of Belgian independence. During successive exhibitions in the same area, more structures were added. The centrepiece triumphal arch was erected in 1905 replacing a previous temporary version of the arcade by Gédéon Bordiau. The structures were built in iron, glass and stone, symbolising the economic and industrial performance of Belgium. The surrounding 30-hectare park esplanade was full of picturesque gardens, ponds and waterfalls. It housed several trade fairs, exhibitions and festivals at the beginning of the century. In 1930 the government decided to reserve Cinquantenaire for use as a leisure park.
The Royal Military Museum has been the sole tenant of the northern half of the complex since 1880. The southern half is occupied by the Cinquantenaire Museum and the AutoWorld Museum. The Temple of Human Passions, a remainder from 1886, and the Great Mosque of Brussels from 1978 are located in the north-western corner of the park.
Line 1 of the Brussels Metro and the Belliard Tunnel from Rue de la Loi pass underneath the park, the latter partly in an open section in front of the Arch. The nearest metro stations are Schuman to the west of the park, and Mérode immediately to the east.
Today the various buildings of the Cinquantenaire host three musea and one mosque. The surrounding park esplanade is used for several purposes in the summer, such as military parades and drive-in movies. It is also the starting point for the 20 km of Brussels, an annual run with 30,000 participants.
Réserve Royale at Dinner in the Sky | Brussels 2017
This year Réserve Royale has been once again the beer partner of Dinner in the Sky. Dinner in the Sky is a Belgian concept that Forbes magazine called one of the world's ten most unusual restaurants. Indeed, it is nothing less than 22 guests, 1 Michelin Star chef and a table lifted by a crane at 60m in the air. This year, 3 tables were lifted simultaneously.
After a world tour (Sydney, Toronto, Rio, Monaco, Paris,...) accompanied by the best chefs on the planet (Joël Robuchon, Pierre Gagnaire, Alain Passard...). Dinner in the Sky has taken over the sky of Brussels for its 11th time.
This year, it has hosted the most renowned Brussels’ chefs among which :
Yves Mattagne of Sea Grill**
Lionel Rigolet of Comme Chez Soi**
Pascal Devalkeneer of Chalet de la Forêt**
David Martin of La Paix*
Giovanni Bruno of Senzanome*
Luigi Ciciriello of La Truffe Noire*
Bart De Pooter of De Pastorale** and of WY*
Franco Spinelli of San Daniele*
Pierre Résimont of L'Eau Vive**
Alexandre Dionisio of La Villa in the Sky**
Filip Claeys of De Jonkman**
Karen Torosyan of Brasserie Bozar*
Isabelle Arpin
Each day the chefs have treated 22 guests to a 5 courses lunch and 2 5 courses dinners. The event has taken place from the 8th to the 17th of June 2017 at the 'Cinquantenaire', Brussels.

FRANCAIS

Attack on Brussels forensic lab 'probably arson'
A fire at a top forensic crime lab in Brussels was probably arson aimed at destroying evidence rather than terrorism, investigators have said.
Prosecutors say the attackers rammed Belgium's criminology institute with a car at about 2am local time before setting it ablaze.
The fire caused a blast but no casualties.
The Brussels Prosecutor's office opened an investigation on arson. We are clearly talking about a criminal act. The thesis of terrorism can not be confirmed yet... This location…
