Laganas beach on the island of Zakynthos, Greece
Laganas is the most famous resort in Zakynthos island and it’s particularly popular to youngsters as well as families. Laganas is located in the southern part of Zakynthos and has the largest beach on Zakynthos.
You can see the bus journey from Zakynthos Town to Laganas. The distance is 8.3 km.
At the end of the road, we are on the main street of Laganas.
Then we cross the beach. It is 12-Jun-2018, 10:30.
The island that can be seen at sea is Marathonisi, the island of turtles.

The beach village of Laganas is on the southeastern coast. A large part of Laganas is a national park, established for the protection of turtles. The village is a paradise for noisy tourists - usually a group of teenagers from the Nordic countries (England, etc.).
???? Advantages:
- Nice sandy beaches (don't be afraid of the noise of landing aircraft).
- Sand can build perfect sand structures (children will love it).
- Boat rentals.
- Harbor near Laganas (ideal for boat trips).
- A lot of sea shells and turtles (Caretta caretta).
- Dining options (most often fastfood).
- Cheap alcohol in alcohol stores.
- Emergency and pharmacy.
???? Disadvantages:
- Noise from evening to morning (group of teenagers).
- A mess - 2:56.
- Aggressive individuals and few cops.
- The center is one very long and ugly street.
- Expensive foods in markets.

The main attraction of Laganas is the migration of the loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta). Each year during the months of June, July and August the turtles migrate to the Bay of Laganas to lay their eggs on the beach. This is a protected beach which is watched over by ecologists at all times.
