Great Ride form Junction FM118/RR170 (Terlingua) to Lajitas on my 1994 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Nostalgia. Road is part of the Texas Mountain Trail and continuous thru Big Bend Ranch State Park in the Chihuahuan Desert. Filming was on a GoPro Hero 3 Black.

Black Jack's Crossing Golf Course is a Lanny Wadkins Signature Golf Course. Situated on 27,000 acres, along the Rio Grande, the golf course provides a challenge for all skill levels, and has some of the most beautiful panoramic views a golfer has ever experienced while playing the game.
The Golf Shop is housed in the Trading Post, a building built in 1899, named after General Black Jack Pershing. The building is now designated as a historical landmark (full of bullet holes). Also in the Trading Post is the Lajitas Longhorn Museum, the largest private collection of longhorns in the United States.
The Agave Spa at Lajitas is a great way to relax after a round of golf, or meet the golfers at the Thirsty Goat Saloon to have a beverage to settle the bets or claim bragging rights for the day. Then dine at the CandelillaTerrace with a balanced selection of offerings for everyone.
Lajitas is the perfect setting for corporate retreats and work groups. From the Executive Boardroom, the meeting venues are designed to accommodate the very small or medium-sized seminars. Arriving @ 89TE in Lajitas from the NE in our Piper Cherokee 235. Using the iVUE 1080p glasses for most of the video...so sorry for all the motion. :) I had a couple other camera's up but forgot to switch them to 1080 from 720 the video doesn't scale the same. Anyway, didn't see any good quality approach videos into this airport so thought I'd make one this last trip out.

I know people who ask, What is there to do in the deserts of West Texas? My answer is, A whole bunch if you know where to look. We've been going to Lajitas for close to 40 years. It's become a golf resort now. We still go but we don't play golf. Along the way we always stop at Balmorhea State Park for a dip in the beautiful spring pool. West Texas has everything.
Our group was made up of 3 generations from 6 to 74 years old. I'm grateful my father exposed me to the outdoors, and for the opportunity to share it with him, my sons, my brother and nephew.
