Lake Billy Chinook is a small sealed gravel strip (2500' x 32') near Madras, OR.
The AF/D clearly states animals on and in vicinity of airport. The deer that sprints off the runway just before I touch down is a reminder that they put these things in the book for a reason.
I dropped down low on the way back out to clear the runway for the next guy. :)

It was another beautiful weekend in Central Oregon. This time the family was camping at Cove Palisades State Park at Lake Billy Chinook. Saturday we rented a boat and spent the day on the lake.

The small rural town of Culver, Oregon has won 11 of the last 12 state wrestling titles and are looking to make it 12 in 13 years.
The one constant through their remarkable run has been head coach and Culver alum J.D. Alley, who has turned the program into a dynasty. Title Town follows J.D. and the Culver Bulldogs on their quest for title 12 and shows the incredible impact coach Alley has had on and off the mat.
From incredible triumph to heart breaking tragedy, JD and the Bulldogs have endured it all and prove that through it all, it's still a great day to be a Bulldog.

Visited Cove Pallisades State Park in Mid May. Just a great place to visit. There is an upper and lower camping area, lots of hiking and water sports to be had. There is also a Marina nearby. Hope you enjoy

The Cove Palisades State Park is a popular outdoor playground north of Redmond, Oregon, and east of the town of Culver. The Deshutes River and the Crooked River have carved deep canyons and sheer cliffs in the Descutes Basin revealing awesome views of ancient lava flows and layers of volcanic ash.
