SAN PABLO 7 LAKES QUICK RIDE PART 1 @CALIBATO LAKE
Lake Calibato is one of the seven crater lakes collectively called Pitong Lawa or Seven Lakes of San Pablo in Laguna province in the Philippines. The lake is situated in Brgy. Sto. Angel in San Pablo City. Calibato has an area of 42 hectares (100 acres) and maximum depth of 135 metres (443 ft). Calibato's maximum water capacity is approximately 29,600 cubic metres (1,050,000 cu ft). Its supplies the city and nearby towns with abundant fish and aquatic plants. The lake is the deepest recorded lake among the seven-lake system.
Legend
It was told that the area was once a valley inhabited by a Diwata (benevolent fairy or nymph) who had wanted to keep her realm free from the intrusion of mankind. Thus, she was angered when people built rocky pathways that criss-crossed her valley. She then caused a strong earthquake and severe storm that transformed her valley into a lagoon.
The villagers living in the surrounding hills were awestruck the following morning, and named the body of water Lake Calibato, taken from the criss-crossing stone pathways of the valley, a portmanteau of Cali (corrupted from the Spanish calle, street) and the Tagalog Bato (rock).

Lake Muhikap (more commonly spelled as Mohicap or Mojicap) is one of the seven lakes of San Pablo City, in the province of Laguna, Philippines. The lake, which is located in Brgy. Sta. Catalina has an area of 14.5 hectares (36 acres), and it is one of the main suppliers of water in the city. The waters of San Pablo Lakes provide a generous source of tilapia for Metro Manila and suburbs.

Calibato Lake Plus Lagalas Falls
Outreach and tree planting program for the St. Martin de Porres Kid’s Home at Brgy. Concepcion San Pablo City Laguna.
Then, sidetrip to Calibato lake and lagalas falls.
There are no life vests and commercial boat rental to Lagalas falls. You will just need to hire the boat of the fishermen in there. There are no fixed price for the boat rental. For our group, we are 15 pax, we decided to give 40 Pesos each for the boat/balsa transfer which is available on SUNDAY only. Message below if you want the contact number of the boatman.

Direction:
From manila, ride a bus going to LUCENA and aboard at SM San Pablo City. Then ride a jeep (P8.00) to the city proper. Then look for the jeepney terminal going to Nagcarlan near the City Fire station and tell the driver to drop you off Calibato Lake at Sitio Biuyan. Fare is more or less P20. Then you may start the short hike to the lake.

This is Bunot Lake, one of the 7 lakes in San Pablo, Laguna. It has an area of 30 hectares and a maximum depth of 25 meters. I took this view of Bunot Lake from Cocina de Sabang 602, a quaint and very rustic resto across the lake.
