When you are ready to get out of the water you will find plenty to do on dry land.
Tony Beck of River Cyclery & Sport offers rentals for the road and the water. Lessons for bicycle riding and standup paddle boarding are offered. Information on tours and trail rides is also available.
When it comes to hiking and trails to explore Lake Havasu has some of the best. Sara Park has a variety of wonder hiking and biking trails; a great way to explore the desert southwest, mountain vistas, wildlife and views of the lake.
If golfing is what you love LHC has championship courses and executive courses. The courses offer great views of the lake, lush landscaping and of course, beautiful weather.

Lake Havasu Travel Guide | California Travel Tips
California Travel Tips host Veronica Hill tours Lake Havasu Az, London Bridge, Topock and Needles in this special Lake Havasu Travel Guide.
Located on the border of California and Arizona, about 300 miles from Los Angeles, Lake Havasu sits along the Colorado River with Parker Dam to the south and Davis Dam to the north.
Lake Havasu hotels include the chic new Lake Havasu hotel Heat and the Lake Havasu London Bridge Resort, home to the popular nightclub, Kokomos. Colorado River camping is available at The Islander Resort in Lake Havasu and Crazy Horse Campground. Havasu Palms and Black Meadow Landing are popular down near Parker Dam, and Palms River Resort is a good choice near Needles. In 2009, Pirate Cove Resort and the Naked Pirate Beach Bar opened in Needles to the delight of Lake Havasu party people.
Along the river, there are a few gas stations for boaters. Topock Marina is one of the most popular stops, and its bar and grill serves up great burgers, ribs and other American barbecue fare. If you're looking for another great place to cool off with a cold drink, the Naked Turtle Beach Bar at Nautical Inn Resort in Lake Havasu always has a party going on.
Speaking of parties, while you're here, don't miss Spring Break Lake Havasu hot spots like Copper Canyon, popular for cliff diving; Steamboat Cove, popular for Lake Havasu boat parties, and the famous sandbar in Topock Gorge.
Topock Gorge Havasu National Wildlife Refuge, home to Indian petroglyphs and bighorn sheep, is also a popular spot for birding, Colorado River rafting and kayak or canoe Colorado River trips. The Colorado River water current averages 3 mph here, and it's a lovely place to beach your boat and spend the day.
When planning your Lake Havasu vacation, remember that Lake Havasu weather averages about 110-119 F during the summer, and up to 100 F at night. Be sure to pack plenty of water, sunblock and food when going out on the boat.

Kristoff and I take a walk through downtown Lake Havasu along the waterfront enjoying all the sights and sounds of a bustling harbor with lots of activity. There are many shops including the famous hat shop, plenty of restaurants, and hotels. Many families enjoy the waterfront life. A walk across London Bridge is a must do. We stayed on Arizona Land Trust property. To register, go to their website, Arizona Land Trust. Fill out the permit . You are allowed 14 days in a year's period of time. The cost for the permit is $21.00 for the year and is on an honor basis. The Arizona Land Trust property where we stayed was about 600 yards behind Walmart, about 5 miles from London Bridge. There were several RV Parks a little closer but packed tight. We enjoyed the wide open space of the ALT. Lake Havasu is a must-see destination while visiting western
Arizona.

SARA (Special Activities and Recreation Area) Park is an 1100-acre park with spectacular mountain views and access to Lake Havasu. The park's facilities cater to a wide range of recreational activities and also serve as venues for events such as the popular Winterblast firework display, obstacle races and concerts throughout the year. SARA Park has a network of hiking and mountain bike trails, ballfields, dog park and rodeo & fairgrounds. Other activities include BMX racing, roller hockey, RC plane field and a shooting range.
