This is the second floor lobby room where the payphones are
The note on the top of the phone says out of order.
When you try to dial a number or any 800 number, 800 call att or any other certain 800 number and try to dial those numbers, there would be a message on your phone that says Please try again. On this phone the 3 button is worn. I think some of the buttons on here are worn but not all. It's because this phone has been used dozens and dozens of times over the years and has difficulty of working. When you call the 1-800-720--5839 which is a walgreens number to make collect calls all over the United States it will ask you for your 10 digit pin number, and when I entered those numbers into this phone, it doesn't register so that the connection or the phone line doesn't go through. And that's why there's a sign up above the phone that says it's out of order. And it's been here for like 5 years or at least. So an actual overall view of this room. What you're seeing now is the light switch and the door to this room. 5 years ago this door broke off, broke off the hinge. So for many many years this hotel staff did not want or bother to repair it. So for a number of years, they just left it the way that it is, left it alone. As you can see there are 3 other payphones in this second floor lobby. And the one on the far left should work, I've used it at least one time. I'm sure the other 2 payphones on the right do work as well. When you want some extra privacy and whatever you want to do, this room would be a very good hiding spot, and that's where I always went. In this room, you can use the payphone or if you have a cell phone in your pocket, you can take it out and make the calls in this room and no one will look at you or see you if you need a little extra privacy.
The area of the resort was reconstructed, and remodeled in 2014, but this video shows what it used to look like.
