Sri Lanka Travel Shopping Haul | Clothes, Souvenirs & More | Indian Travel Vlogger
In December of 2016, I saw myself basking in the glory and beauty of Sri Lanka. This video is a travel shopping haul and showcases all the shopping that I did there in Sri Lanka.
In this video, I tell you what all Sri Lanka is famous for and what all stuff to buy for yourself, friends and family while you are there in Sri Lanka. I also bought a couple of things for my family and friends including sometimes inexpensive and sometimes expensive souvenir items.
Sri Lanka is famous for many things like –
1. Beaches
2. Surfing
3. Colonial Heritage
4. Elephants etc
When doing souvenir shopping there, you will come across many pieces which showcase Sri Lankan heritage and culture. A few things which are recurring in most Sri Lankan souvenirs are –
1. The Sri Lankan Flag – Can be found on Tshirts, Mugs, Bells etc
2. Elephant – Magnets, Tshirts, other clothing items, paintings
3. Sri Lankan dances – again on Tshirts, paintings etc
4. Sri Lankan Masks – Tshirts, Paintings and wooden masks
5. Beach or Surf theme – on magnets, clothing items, other souvenirs
If you want to visit some exclusive places to shop, I have tried to list a few here –
1. Barefoot, Columbo & Galle
2. Luv SL, Galle
3. Stick No Bills, Galle
4. Spa Ceylon, Galle
If you are looking for cheaper stuff, you can find many roadside stalls, kiosks, and smaller shops scattered around most tourist places.
Do drop me a comment in case you have anything to ask. I will be happy to answer all your queries.
Also, join me in my travel adventures and let us together share some travel love.
XOXO

Passengers from the Queen Mary II flooded Laksala
About 2000 tourists from the Queen Mary II, which is the largest ocean liner ever built, visited Laksala on 06th February this year. Tourists arrived in Laksala flagship store located in Thummulla from 9.30 am to 5.30pm on a shuttle service operated from the Port of Colombo. On regular basis this transatlantic ocean liner arrives in Sri Lanka and every time those on board visit Laksala as usual.
The Queen Mary 2 measures 345 meters in length. The approx. 1,250 crew members take good care of the maximal 2,620 passengers. The Queen Mary 2 is the only remaining transatlantic liner. Laksala is known among tourists on the Queen Mary 2 for the only state owned gift and souvenir boutique in Sri Lanka and offering the widest range of Gem & Jewellery, Brass, Textile (Handloom and Batik), Tea, Wood Carving, SPA, Spices, Ceramic, Leather, Rush & Reed related products at reasonable prices.
