This is the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Most of the cars at Lanes, are smaller old cars. Lots of really neat cars here, ones you never or seldom see at car cruises, shows or on the road.
Lots of off brand and brand name cars. There was a cool old 1961 Chevrolet Corphibian that was like new. Lots of stuff from a Hercules Wankel powered motor cycle to a 1970 Lotus Elan.

Tennessee (Nashville and Chattanooga) - Vlog 16
It’s Throwback Thursday and we have, well, a throwback travel vlog of course! (yeah I know we do Flashback Friday, but between you and me…they’re the same thing…shhh)
This week we’re going back to last summer when we went on a spontaneous road trip to Nashville, Tennessee! We literally picked to go there the day before, packed and got the hell out of New York.
It was the first time I drove for awhile and all night, so it really took a toll on us by the time we got there. Slept the whole first day. Haha
So let’s see…we went to a ton of places! In Nashville we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum, Parthenon Replica (where they filmed a scene from Percy Jackson), Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art and the Lane Motor Museum.
Then we went to the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg. They have their own little county there that is actually a dry county, which means that the whisky isn’t available for consumption in any of the stores or food places within it. (They have whisky-flavored desserts though!)
We took a long drive down to the border of Alabama and Georgia to check out Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls in Chattanooga. (Fun fact: it’s said or was said that you can see 7 states from there – Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama) There’s also some Civil War history behind the mountain, but you can look that up if you’re interested. Anyways, in order to see Ruby Falls you have to go 1,120 feet underground in an elevator…that’s as high as the Empire State Building! But it’s pretty cool there’s a 145-foot waterfall underground. Crazy.
Another attraction on Lookout Mountain is the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, one of the steepest passenger railways in the world! I’m completely terrified of heights but I love trains so I couldn’t help but go. But holy crap is it steep and on a cable…
Lastly, we went to Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville where the Confederates stored and made their ammo. There’s also an underground mountain inside it that you can climb! Also there’s a chandelier from the Lowes Metropolitan Theater in Brooklyn from the 1920s. They call it “The Grand Lady of the Volcano Room.” You can also take different tours where you can get down and dirty climbing through the caverns.
Geez I wrote so much! Well goes to show that Tennessee was AWESOME! :)

Didn't get to see much of Nashville, but The Parthenon was the highlight of the one day we actually went around the city. Unfortunately, we didn't get to experience much of the music scene, but definitely next time!
