Castillo Árabe de Lanjarón | Granada
El Castillo de Lanjarón, conocido localmente como Castillo de los moros, es una pequeña fortaleza de la época musulmuna situado en la cima de un cerro.
En 1500 fue conquistado por los cristianos. Fue escenario de uno de lo más llamativos y sangrientos episodios de la guerra de Granada, en la primera rebelión de los moriscos contra la corona de Castilla.
Fué construido por los almorávides en los siglos XII-XIII, su función era de vigilancia, refugio y defensa.
Trás la conquista de los Reyes Católicos, el castillo pasó a manos de la Corona, estableciéndose alcaides cristianos.
