LONDON WALK incl. Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown | England
A first-person perspective London walk tour of Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown.
See all the sights as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown. The route starts at Leicester Square, through Leicester Square Garden, onto Piccadilly Circus, along Shaftesbury Avenue, then through Chinatown, and finishing back at Leicester Square.
Sights seen along the tour include a statue of William Shakespeare, The Horses of Helios, and Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!
Footage recorded February 2017.

LONDON, famous Leicester Square at CHRISTMAS time (England) ????????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit this very popular square in the middle of beautiful London and see how it feels to be there on a very cold night just before Christmas. Wonderful christmas carols signing by a local choir, what else could you ask for!!
Leicester Square is a pedestrianised square in the West End of London, England. It was laid out in 1670 and is named after the contemporary Leicester House, itself named after Robert Sidney, 2nd Earl of Leicester.
London, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, is a 21st-century city with history stretching back to Roman times. At its centre stand the imposing Houses of Parliament, the iconic ‘Big Ben’ clock tower and Westminster Abbey, site of British monarch coronations. Across the Thames River, the London Eye observation wheel provides panoramic views of the South Bank cultural complex, and the entire city.

Leicester Square (/ˈlɛstər/ ( listen) LES-tər) is a pedestrianised square in the West End of London, England. It was laid out in 1670 and is named after the contemporary Leicester House, itself named after Robert Sidney, 2nd Earl of Leicester.
The square was originally a gentrified residential area, with tenants including Frederick, Prince of Wales and artists William Hogarth and Joshua Reynolds. It became more down-market in the late 18th century as Leicester House was demolished and retail developments took place, becoming a centre for entertainment. Several major theatres were established in the 19th century, which were converted to cinemas towards the middle of the next. Leicester Square holds a number of nationally important cinemas such as the Odeon Leicester Square, Empire, Leicester Square, which are frequently used for film premieres (and the now closed Odeon West End). The nearby Prince Charles Cinema is popular for showing cult films and marathon film runs. The square remains a popular tourist attraction, including hosting events for the Chinese New Year.
The square has always had a park in its centre, which was originally Lammas land. The park's fortunes have varied over the centuries, reaching near dilapidation in the mid-19th century after changing ownership several times. It was restored under the direction of Albert Grant, which included the construction of four new statues and a fountain of William Shakespeare. The square was extensively refurbished and remodelled for the 2012 London Olympics, costing more than £15m and taking over 17 months to complete.
London, UK Travel - Leicester Square
A bustling square full of cinemas, theatres, and restaurants, and nightclubs.
Getting There/Directions
Tube - Piccadilly line Or Northern line to Leicester Square station.
Here we are in Leicester Square, we are in the hall of the west end. This is where Londoners come for an evening's entertainment. Hordes of tourists and locals walk the streets in the evening looking for a night out on the town. When Hollywood comes to town, the Odeon, Leicester Square hosts the glitzy premieres of blockbuster movies. With 1,700 seats, it is the biggest in London. But this is my favorite cinema. This is a Prince Charles Cinema, home of the mystical Sing-A-Long Sound of Music. Come as Julie Andrews, or just as you are, for a great evening of audience participation.
Shaftesbury Avenue is like London's Broadway. It is a great place to see first runs of plays and musicals. There is no sense in paying full price for tickets. Here, at the Society of West End Theatre's ticket booth, you can find great deals on tickets. Be aware, though, there are many people on the square who will try to sell you tickets; but this is the place to come for the real deal. Chinatown is at the north of the Leicester Square. It is a great place to come to sample excellent Cantonese cuisine, or simply to soak up the atmosphere. I am Eleanor, showing you London.

Leicester Square is a pedestrianised square in the West End of London. The Square lies within an area bound by Lisle Street, to the north; Charing Cross Road, to the east; Orange Street, to the south; and Whitcomb Street, to the west. The park at the centre of the Square is bound by Cranbourn Street, to the north; Leicester Street, to the east; Irving Street, to the south; and a section of road designated simply as Leicester Square, to the west. It is within the City of Westminster, and about equal distances (about 400 yards or 370 metres) north of Trafalgar Square, east of Piccadilly Circus, west of Covent Garden, and south of Cambridge Circus.
This smallish London square is the site of most British film premieres and the square itself is surrounded by terrifyingly-expensive cinemas - tickets for an evening screening will cost upwards of £17, 3D screenings will cost upwards of £15. At night, Leicester Square becomes exceptionally busy with tourists and locals, visiting the surrounding clubs and bars. In the north-west corner of the square is the Swiss Centre - unaccountably popular with tourists, the building is nowadays home to Sound nightclub, and boasts a carillion in the corner which depicts a Swiss mountain scene and plays tinny versions of Beatles hits on the hour throughout the day. The TKTS half price ticket booth is on the south side of Leicester Square for cheap tickets for theatre performances.

Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person!) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring Christmas in Leicester Square, with its Christmas Market. Sights seen along the tour include Santa’s grotto, mini pancakes, sausages, hand-made burgers, French crepes, Paradiso live cabaret and kids shows, tea lights, Christmas decorations, chocolate fountains, Christmas tree ornaments, and roasted chestnuts.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!

The West End of London (commonly referred to as the West End) is an area of Central and West London containing many of the city's major tourist attractions, shops, businesses, government buildings and entertainment venues, including the West End theatres.
Use of the term began in the early 19th century to describe fashionable areas to the west of Charing Cross.[1] The West End covers much of the boroughs of Westminster and Camden.[2]
While the City of London, or the Square Mile, is the main business and financial district in London, the West End is the main commercial and entertainment centre of the city. It is the largest central business district in the United Kingdom, comparable to Midtown Manhattan in New York City, the Gangnam district in Seoul, Shibuya in Tokyo, Sol in Madrid or the 8th arrondissement in Paris and EUR in Rome. It is one of the most expensive locations in the world in which to rent office space, just behind Silicon Valley's Sand Hill Road.
