SB1171 The Iwi Kupuna Desecration Bill
Kanaka Maoli gather at the fake state crapitol in opposition of Senate Bill 1171 (SB 1171), a bill designed to allow phased Archaeological Inventory Surveys (AIS) instead of requiring the completion of a complete AIS.
The bill was pushed introduced as another attempt by the fake state to bypass regulations that were put in place to protect Kanaka Maoli cultural resources like iwi kūpuna (ancestral bones) and wahi kapu (sacred places).
In the end, 16 voted in favor of the desecration while 9 voted against. Those who voted in favor include Brickwood Driftwood Galuteria, Donovan Nutcracker Mouth Dela Cruz, Malama the Hutt Solomon, Glenn Glennocide Wakai, and Michelle Memoirs of a Geisha Kidani.
Those who voted against this detrimental bill were: Clayton Hee, Kalani English, Laura Thielen, Sam Slom, Maile Shimabukuro, Josh Green, Les Ihara, Suzanne Chun Oakland, and Russell Ruderman,

Burial Council not keeping up with monthly meetings
The Oahu Island Burial Council is supposed to meet every month, but the last time the Council met was back in January. A decision by the state Attorney General has kept the Council from conducting important business.
