Red Square - MOSCOW (Directed by Sai Laung Mone - Myanmar)
RED SQUARE is the most famous city square in Moscow. The square separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and currently the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitay-gorod (China-Town). As major streets of Moscow radiate from here in all directions, being promoted to major highways outside the city, the Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and of all Russia.
During the Soviet era, Red Square maintained its significance, becoming the main square in the life of the new state. Besides being the official address of the Soviet government it was renowned as the location for military parades. Kazan Cathedral and Iverskaya Chapel with the Resurrection Gates were demolished to make room for heavy military vehicles driving through the square (both were later rebuilt after the fall of the Soviet Union). There were plans to demolish Moscow's most recognized building, Saint Basil's Cathedral, as well.
Each building in Red Square is a legend in its own right. One of these is Lenin's Mausoleum, where the embalmed body of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the founder of the Soviet Union, is displayed. Nearby is the elaborate brightly-domed Saint Basil's Cathedral and also the palaces and cathedrals of the Kremlin.
On the eastern side of the square is the GUM department store, and next to it the restored Kazan Cathedral. The northern side is occupied by the State Historical Museum, whose outlines echo those of Kremlin towers. The Iberian Gate and Chapel have been rebuilt to the northwest.
The only sculptured monument on the square is a bronze statue of Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, who helped to clear Moscow from the Polish invaders in 1612, during the Times of Trouble. Nearby is the so-called Lobnoye Mesto, a circular platform where public ceremonies used to take place. The square itself is around 330 meters (1100 feet) long and 70 meters (230 feet) wide.

Wooden architecture in Irkutks:
Irkutsk has the biggest range of 19th century wooden architecture in Siberia. Out of all Siberian towns, only Irkutsk and Tobolsk have preserved their historic face. Wooden houses can be found in the centre of Irkutsk. If you walk 500m from Lenin's monument down Lenin street towards Krestovozdvizhenskaia church, you will reach the old part of Irkutsk with its characteristic wooden architecture. Timiriazeva, Podgornaia and Lapina streets are some of the streets near the church not destroyed by the 1879 fire.
THE HOUSE OF THE SHASTINS
Engelsa, 21.
The house was built at the end of the 19th century and is better known as the 'Kruzhevnoi dom' ('the lacy house'). In 1999 a complete restoration of the Shastins' homestead was completed – the building now accommodates representatives of the House of Europe.
SUKACHEVA'S HOMESTEAD
On the corner of ulitsa Dekabrskikh Sobitii and ulitsa Sovetskaia.
The homestead was built at the end of the 19th century and consists of several wooden houses. The old home of V.P.Sukachev was converted into an art gallery and his collection is now the core of the main exhibition at the Irkutsk Art Museum. Also on site are the buildings of the girls' school which Sukachev built, funded and maintained, the servants' houses, and the stable. The house where Vladimir Platonovich and his family lived has been replaced by a tank. The homestead is currently undergoing restoration.

Two working days in St. Petersburg 0028
My life journey / 0028 / 160405:
Saint Petersburg is the second largest city in Russia. It is located on the Neva River at the head of the Gulf of Finland on the Baltic Sea. It was named Saint Petersburg in 1703. In 1914 the name of the city was changed from Saint Petersburg to Petrograd, in 1924 to Leningrad and in 1991, back to Saint Petersburg. Tsar Peter the Great founded Saint Petersburg on May 27 1703. Between 1713–1728 and 1732–1918 Saint Petersburg functioned as the imperial capital of Russia. In 1918 the central government bodies moved from Saint Petersburg (then named Petrograd) to Moscow. It is Russia's second-largest city after Moscow, with 6 million inhabitants (2016), and the fourth most populated federal subject. Saint Petersburg is a major European cultural center, and also an important Russian port on the Baltic Sea.
Saint Petersburg is often described as the most Westernized city of Russia, as well as its cultural capital. It is the northernmost city in the world with a population of over one million. The Historic Centre of Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments constitute a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Saint Petersburg is home to The Hermitage, one of the largest art museums in the world.

KREMLIN MOSCOW | CATHEDRAL SQUARE | रूस
I visited Kremlin which is located in the Red Square ,the heart of Moscow. The Kremlin is a fortified complex enclosed by iconic red walls and 20 towers. Inside there are five palaces, four cathedrals and an enclosing wall. The Grand Kremlin Palace is also located inside, which is the official residence of Russia’s president…like The White House.
1) For visiting the architectural ensemble of the Cathedral Square (center of the Kremlin) which includes most palaces and churches – 700 rubles.
2) For visiting the Armory Chamber – 1000 rubles.
For more information, visit – it’s available in English.
How To Get Tickets Inside:
Depending on what parts of the Kremlin you want to see, there are separate tickets to purchase.
There is 1 ticket to purchase for The Armoury and another for Cathedral Square.
The Diamond Fund (located in the Armoury) has a separate ticket too. The Diamond Fund can be purchased at the door the day of your visit.
1.) I recommend purchasing your tickets online at least 2 weeks in advance. Waiting in line the day of is a risky business!
You’ll likely wait for a couple hours, and there’s no guarantee you’ll actually get a ticket (especially to The Armoury) because these tickets can “sell out.”
Even 1 week before the ticket for The Armoury Chamber was not available online. The Armoury Chamber has limited capacity.Thats why they allow only certain no of tourist inside.
2.) Even if you purchased your tickets online ahead of time does not mean you don’t
have to wait in line. you will have to take your printed voucher and wait in the ticket
line to get your actual ticket inside to either the Armoury or Cathedral Square.
I recommend going early because this line is LONG.
Fortunately in my case the queue was less.
I only visited Cathedral Square.
Get an audio guide from information counter during your visit to Cathedral Square and TheArmoury.
(the audio guides are free and only require a deposit to make sure you return them).
