In this video is presented the situation of the Channel Islands during WW2, when were occupied by the German forces, from 30 June 1940 until their peaceful liberation after the German surrender on 9 May 1945. The Bailiwick of Jersey and Bailiwick of Guernsey were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied by the Wehrmacht.

Hospitalised man arrested after six stabbed in Jersey
People living on the Channel island of Jersey are in shock following the stabbing of six people, who have all died. Police were called to the scene at the island's capital, St Helier, on Sunday afternoon. They say the victims were from two different families and included two children.
Supposedly it's my next door neighbour and their family that have all been killed. It's an extreme shock, said one woman.
