Shanghai Trip Day 4 - Lihu Lake National Park & Three Kingdoms City, Wuxi!
Alright gang, the #Acevengers are halfway in to our trip!
We only had two destinations today: Lihu National Lake Park & the Three Kingdoms City!
We were given a mere 20-minute stroll along the Lihu Lake because the journey to the next one was a distance.
Lihu Park is a park located in Binhu District, Wuxi, Jiangsu, China.
It covers an area of 300 acres and it is free to the public. In the late Ming Dynasty, some scholars said that Fan Li and Xi Shi boated here.
The park also has many old buildings behind trees which make them look very mysterious and attractive. It is next to TaiHu, so you can just go there by boating.
After lunch, we head towards a shooting/filming site created by CCTV.
Three Kingdoms City, which is one of the CCTV Television Bases, and a renowned tourist attraction.
The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a historical TV series, was filmed there. The title, Three Kingdoms, refer to Wei (220-265), Shu (221-263) and Wu (229-280) which were the three rival powers during the period of Three Kingdoms.
Covering an area of about 35 hectares (86 acres), the Three Kingdoms City is a Han Dynasty (206BC-220) style structure.
In order to film the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a series of buildings were needed to be built there. These include the King of Wu's Palace, the Ganlu Temple, the Caocao's Army Camp on Land and Waterside, the Seven Star Altar and the Stunt Performing Court for Big Fire at Red Cliffs. These buildings have all become celebrated tourist spots.

Taihu Scenic Area has a planned total area of 3091 square kilometers, including 888 square kilometers (including 529 square kilometers of Taihu Lake) and 2,203 square kilometers of peripheral protection zone (including 1931 square kilometers of Taihu Lake).
