Racing the wife with the kids at Lil 500
Lil 500 go kart racing in Maitland Florida. My wife had our 2 year old and I was with our 5 year old. The kids had a blast and after one race with our 5 year old he was racing by himself. Maitland is just minutes from Orlando and tourist attractions. $4 for an 8 lap race or a 10 pack for $30. They have three separate tracks. The slowest is for five years old and above, the intermediate is for 8 and up and the fastest is for 12 and above. This is a great place to take kids for a reasonable price.

Ayrton Dane Ori at the Orlando FKCS Kid Kart Race 1 Final 052210
This was one of Ayrton's first races back in May 2010 in the Florida Kart Championship Series. It's amazing to see how far he's come in a short time; from one of the 'just learning' kids to being one of the fast kids. His confidence has increased by leaps and bounds.
We originally were unable to upload this because it exceeded the 10 minute cap YouTube had in place at the time.
This is some beautiful video of our local track here in Orlando, the Orlando Kart Center.

Doctor: Ebola not a concern for general publ
Reported by: Deven Clarke
DUBOIS, Pa. -- As the first patient diagnosed with the deadly Ebola virus in the United States has died, his nurse who contracted the virus continues to fight it in Texas. Thats causing panic through some parts of the region.
Fear is growing among some Americans, but Chief Medical Officer of Penn Highlands DuBois, Dr. Gary Dugan, said Ebola is still very localized.
Well I dont think the general public should be worried, said Dugan. Thats first and foremost. We dont want to create panic.
One reason for the growing panic may be the approaching flu season.
The Ebola virus symptoms and the Influenza virus symptoms are similar, but Dr. Dugan said even after experiencing muscle pain, vomiting, diarrhea and high fever, its important to know and weigh actual risks of exposure.
The first and most important question is have you been traveling to Africa within the last 21 days, said Dugan. Thats the first and most important question that should be asked.
Dugan said its also important to know how the disease is spread.
Its not something thats airborne, said Dugan. Its not something you can acquire through casual contact. You have to come in contact with some form of secretions from a patient thats infected and that has to enter either through an open area of your skin or as you pointed a mucus membrane.
The intricate path Dugan said is needed to spread the virus is why a local bar manager Bob Kiel isnt worried.
From everything I read and understand about the virus, the trading of body fluids and so forth into open sores, so the standards we have here at the restaurant already prevent those problems from happening, said Kiel. As unfortunate as it is that there are some people out there suffering, were not worried.
Still, doctors said there are some who should be cautious.
The important point to consider is anyone thats been traveling to that area that has these types of symptoms should have a heightened degree of awareness and probably contact their health care professional, said Dugan.
Even though there has been no reported outbreak, Dugan said all of the Penn Highlands facilities have been working on a plan thats in accordance with the CDC just in case disaster strikes.
Guilty of Street Racing? Orlando Criminal Defense Attorney Jeff Lotter
Criminal Defense Attorney Jeff Lotter: As written 99.9% of everyone watching this video have committed the crime street racing - it is that broad! The issue is deeper and more serious than my video because it cuts to the core foundations of American freedom. Civil asset forfeiture is a very dangerous and very powerful weapon in the government's (AKA the cop whose pulling you over). The cop doesn't have the final say, but he 100% starts the process roiling, if they wanted to they could really screw you over hard. Luckily, most of our local police departments have self imposed thresholds that make seizures of street racer's cars (in most circumstances) a non-issue. But that's the key, they are self imposed rules, at any given time for any reason or no reason at all they can chose to enforce civil asset forfeiture at anytime.
I am not done, but I am going to stop because i could go on and on. Not to mention, this opens up so many more doors about deeply held beliefs and each door is a rabbit hole. Maybe I'll do a video about how the racing statute is so horrible for our Freedom! #Murica.
You are almost certainly guilty of street racing. everyone has street raced! Orlando Criminal Defense Attorney Jeff Lotter takes a few minutes to discuss the punishments of street racing.

Race” means the use of one or more motor vehicles in competition, arising from a challenge to demonstrate superiority of a motor vehicle or driver and the acceptance or competitive response to that challenge, either through a prior arrangement or in immediate response, in which the competitor attempts to outgain or outdistance another motor vehicle, to prevent another motor vehicle from passing, to arrive at a given destination ahead of another motor vehicle or motor vehicles, or to test the physical stamina or endurance of drivers over long-distance driving routes. A race may be prearranged or may occur through a competitive response to conduct on the part of one or more drivers which, under the totality of the circumstances, can reasonably be interpreted as a challenge to race.
