About us
We fell in love with each other at an RV show and as a result we fell in love with campers too. For years we have been going to RV shows and picking out our favorites and dreaming of the day we would be able to have one of our own. Then in the summer of 2017 after a series of major mishaps (Our car being totaled, pay cuts and layoffs and a trip to the ER) we purchased our first camper, a Jayco Qwest for less than 5000. Then we began the process of downsizing. Now we are living in our camper full time traveling and exploring the RV Lifestyle.

Linville Falls and Duggers Creek Falls, winter 2018
During the winter of 2018, a weeklong span of cold temperatures froze rivers and waterfalls solid throughout the southeastern United States. Much of the Blue Ridge Mountains experienced the deepest freeze seen in more than a decade. Linville Falls froze so thick that ice climbers were able to scale the popular waterfall for the first time in history. Duggers Creek Falls and Linville Falls, near the Linville Gorge, were draped in winter's beauty and frozen solid. A Summer Flight in Linville Gorge - Aerial Cinema
A UAV flight through Linville Gorge. Known for being the most rugged terrain this side of the Mississippi, the Grand Canyon of the East has been cut by the Linville River over the course of 200 million years.
Take a flight through the Gorge and experience some of the most rugged wilderness in the United States. Towering over the Gorge is Table Rock @ 4284 feet - known for its slab rock climbing and breath-taking overlooks. Fly over the precariously narrow ridge line toward the Cathedrals, a thin rock formation that comes to a head at the Sphinx, a spire-like rock formation extending from the cliffs into the Gorge. Get a bird's-eye view down the Gorge and river at Shortoff Mountain and the route the Lake James.
Enjoy your flight!

Linville Gorge and Falls - NC, Blue Ridge Parkway 2015
Linville Falls is the most popular waterfall in the Blue Ridge Mountains because of its accessibility to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a spectacular three-tiered waterfall plunging into Linville Gorge. Trails lead to views of both the upper and lower falls, beautifully contrast with the soothing green of hemlocks.
Linville Gorge is the deepest and one of the most rugged and scenic gorges in the eastern United States. Nicknamed the Grand Canyon of the East, it is protected by the 12,000-acre Linville Gorge Wilderness Area.

***UPDATED*** Sorry the first video for some reason had no audio.
We go on a short off-road adventure vaguely following a set of maps I put together from some good folks on the Overland Bound Forums. Unfortunately I was plagued with some technology issues that prevented me from staying on track!!! On a different note, I think I finally have the whole offline maps, downloaded maps functionality on Backcountry Navigator works and I'm getting use to Google maps!! We got to see some awesome places in Linville NC and can't wait to go back to explore more offroad trails and camping, stay tuned

Roadtrippin' in the NC Mountains - Linville Caverns & Linville Falls
We took a day trip to the NC Mountains over the summer, to visit the Linville Caverns, and Linville Falls areas. We love traveling to the mountains during the Summer and Fall months. The weather is great and it's always so peaceful there. Give the video a thumbs up if you enjoy it and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for more of our adventures to come! Thanks for watching! xoxo
Linville Falls, North Carolina
Linville Falls is a waterfall located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The falls move in several distinct steps, beginning in a twin set of upper falls, moving down a small gorge, and culminating in a high-volume 45-foot drop. The trails are wide and laced with majestic trees. It's a photographers dream. The overlooks are spectacular. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Fishing the Linville River Gorge, NC
The Linville River Gorge in North Carolina offers some scenic and adventurous fishing opportunities in a hard to reach setting. The brown trout are known to grow plenty big here but with so many deep pools to hide and so much forage to feed on I had trouble catching many. The trails leading to the stream are steep and rough.

Exploring Linville Gorge Wilderness Area and Old NC Hwy 105
I set out to explore the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area Overland style in my FJ Cruiser and along the way I did some hiking too. I started the days journey on the southern end of the western ridge of the gorge on Old NC Hwy 105 (GPS coordinates 35.77255, -81.90295) and traveled north passing many scenic views, epic camping locations and Wisemans View. On the very north end of Old NC Hwy 105 (GPS Coordinates 35.95146, -81.93504) is Linville Falls, a truly breathtaking sight.
For the eastern ridge I traveled along Table Rock Road starting at it's northern most point (GPS coordinates 35.95127, -81.88290) going south and stopping at Table Rock itself, again, an absolute breathtaking sight. I had no idea North Carolina offered this kinds of scenic beauty.

Babel Falls, Babel Tower, Linville Gorge, NC
Just off the Linville Gorge Trail in the northern part of the gorge, Babel Falls is a beautiful and small waterfall with surprising power. The hike from Kistler Highway to the end of the Babel Falls trail is a challenging hike that measures just over a mile, but an easy day hike for strong hikers. The Linville Gorge Wilderness is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the border of Burke County and Caldwell County. The Linville River winds through the gorge for nearly twelve miles, beginning at Linville Falls and ending at Shortoff Mountain and Lake James.
