2013 Vacation: Seattle/Alaska
In the year of our Lord, 2013, six brave souls ventured out of their homeland of California to explore new territories and imbibe a great splendor of beverages worthy of the gods. Among the destinations was the mythical city of Seattle where they encountered an alien craft of some sort perched atop a stick. They celebrated by toasting glasses filled with exotic liquid similar to mead. They then ventured via sea to several stops amid the mysterious land of Alaska. To their complete and utter dismay, Alaska is actually surrounded by land on three sides. They exclaimed in unison, Well holy shit, that makes Alaska a peninsula! It is not in fact trapped inside four white lines, in the ocean, to the left of the contiguous 48 states.
No sir, Alaska is not an island in a box.
