Los Angeles Attack? Military Drill Sparks Panic
Los Angeles got a good scare Monday night as a series of loud booms rocked downtown and military helicopters buzzed overhead. But it was all just a drill, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The disturbances were part of military training exercises using weapons and aircraft in city environments. The drills will last through Saturday and will also be carried out in Long Beach. Many residents said they knew nothing about the exercises and voiced their discontent on social media.

Moments after Kobe Bryant Helicopter crashed
At 9:06 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on January 26, 2020, a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter departed from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, with nine people aboard: Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, six family friends and the pilot. The helicopter was registered to the Fillmore-based Island Express Holding Corp., according to the California Secretary of State business database. The group was travelling to a practice session at Bryant's Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks.
Due to light rain and foggy weather that morning, the LAP helicopters and most other air traffic were grounded. The flight tracker shows that the helicopter experienced issues while above the L.A. Zoo. The helicopter circled the area six times at an altitude of around 850 feet (260 m). At 9:30 a.m. the pilot Ara Zobayan contacted the Burbank Airport's control tower, notifying the tower of the situation and was told he was flying too low to be tracked by radar.[466] At that time, the helicopter experienced extreme fog and turned south towards the mountains. At 9:40 a.m. the helicopter climbed from 1,200 to 2,000 feet (370 to 610 m) flying at 161 knots (298 km/h; 185 mph).
At 9:45 a.m. the helicopter crashed into the side of a mountain in Calabasas, about 30 miles (48 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles, and caught on fire. Bryant, and the other 8 occupants, were instantly killed. This also started a 1/4-acre bush fire.[467][465] At 9:47 a.m. authorities were called. The helicopter had passed over Boyle Heights, near Dodger Stadium, and circled over Glendale during the flight. Personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department attended the scene, and paramedics rappelled from a helicopter to the scene to look for survivors. The fire was difficult to extinguish due to the presence of magnesium, but the fire had been extinguished by 10:30 a.m.[468][469] Initial reports indicated that the helicopter crashed in the hills above Calabasas in heavy fog. Witnesses reported hearing a helicopter struggling before crashing.
Helicopter View of UFO over Los Angeles
We were on a helicopter heading south from downtown LA along the 110 South around 5:50 PM when we saw a bright light in the sky. It seemed to have a contrail initially then it began flashing and brightened as you can see in the video. We were talking to the LAX control tower but they had no idea what was going on and they were freaking out.

Shocking! Kobe Bryant helicopter crash. Was it predicted? Cartoon and Twitter post.
It's kind of scary to think this, but watch and see. Freaky Tweet Predicting Kobe Bryant’s Death Goes Viral. Cartoon showing Kobe in a helicopter crash dying. What In The World!
A tweet sent on November 13, 2012 went viral on Sunday after reports of Kobe Bryant being killed after a helicopter crash in California.
Kobe is going to end up dying in a helicopter crash, a Twitter user with the nickname Noso said in the tweet.
The fans' reactions were harsh, most of them telling him to delete the tweet.
F*ck. I'm sorry, the user replied to the users. The retired NBA star died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California earlier on the same day, TMZ reported.
Kobe was traveling with at least three other people in his private helicopter when it went down, the report said.
A helicopter crash in the hills near Calabasas was also confirmed by the Los Angeles Times.
Los Angeles County Sheriffs shared on its official Twitter account that five people were confirmed dead in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, adding that there were no survivors. Investigation ongoing, it said. Cartoon predicts Kobe Bryants death in helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant and daughter die in helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant's chopper circled for 15 minutes over Burbank waiting for landing clearance in dangerously poor visibility with 'pilot relying on eyesight rather than instruments'- before crashing. Is this some kind of magic sorcery Kobe Bryant's death being predicted? Disturbing cartoon predicts Kobe Bryant's death in helicopter crash and twitter post. Kobe Bryant's helicopter pilot was given a special clearance to fly under foggy conditions considered dangerous enough that local police agencies grounded their choppers. New audio that was captured by LiveATC.net has revealed that the pilot, who has been named as Ara Zobayan, had requested to fly under special visual flight rules (SVFR). The conversation between the pilot and the Burbank Airport control tower shed some light on why the aircraft, which was carrying Bryant, his daughter Gianna, 13, and six others, was granted clearance in the first place. Under an SVFR clearance, pilots are allowed to fly in weather conditions worse than those allowed for visual flight rules (VFR). Special VFR clearances are only issued when cloud ceilings are below 1,000 feet above ground level. Flying that low to the ground can be very disorienting and risky. 'Maintain special VFR at or below 2,500,' the pilot is heard confirming to the controller. Bryant's helicopter left Santa Ana in Orange County, south of Los Angeles, shortly after 9am, a time when conditions were not suitable for flying, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. There was an overcast at 1,300 feet and visibility of about five miles. The pilot was initially flying under visual flight rules (VFR), meaning that he was relying on his ability to see the terrain below him. That changed when he was granted the SVFR. Around 9.20am, the helicopter circled for about 15 minutes just east of Interstate 5, near Glendale. Air traffic controllers (ATC) held up the helicopter for other aircraft for about 11 minutes, before clearing the Sikorsky S-76 to proceed north along Interstate 5 through Burbank's airspace. Air traffic controllers noted poor visibility around Burbank, just to the north, and Van Nuys, to the northwest. Kobe Bryant personified the power of hard work, sacrifice, playing to win and never giving up - here are 10 of his greatest life lessons that could help us ALL be a Mamba. Prediction of Kobe Bryant's deadly helicopter crash came true proof. The prediction of Kobe Bryant's death on a cartoon and twitter chilling.
