A Look Inside the HAUNTED LIZZIE BORDEN Bed & Breakfast
230 2nd St, Fall River, MA 02721
Lizzie's story is still remembered today mostly because of the infamous rhyme:
Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks
When she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty-one
The Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast is where Lizzie Borden and her family had once lived, and died. It was originally numbered as 92 2nd St, but was changed to 230 2nd St in 1896.
From 1874 to 1892, the house was the property of Andrew Borden, Lizzie's father, who was a member of Fall River high society. After Lizzie's trial and acquittal of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe, Lizzie and her sister Emma did not return to the house. Instead, Lizzie bought another house located at 7 French St that she named 'Maplecroft'. Lizzie lived there until her death on June 1, 1927.
It has operated as a bed and breakfast since 1996 under the ownership of Martha McGinn who inherited the house. Martha's grandparents purchased the house on August 4, 1948. According to Martha McGinn, the room where Lizzie's stepmother Abby Borden was found murdered is the most requested room of the bedrooms at the bed and breakfast. The Fall River Historical Society promotes the Lizzie Borden bed and breakfast as a tourist attraction.

The Fall River Tragedy: Lizzie Borden (Borden Axe Murders) by Edwin Porter Part 1 *Grand Audiobooks
Lizzie Borden (July 19, 1860 – June 1, 1927) was an American woman who was the main suspect in the August 4, 1892, axe murders of her father and stepmother in Fall River, Massachusetts. Borden was tried and acquitted of the murders.
The case was a cause célèbre and received widespread newspaper coverage throughout the United States. Following her release from jail, where she was held during the trial, Borden chose to remain a resident of Fall River despite facing ostracism from the other residents. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts elected not to charge anyone else with the murder of Andrew and Abby Borden. Even though the crimes occurred 127 years ago, speculation about the crimes still continues. She spent the remainder of her life in Fall River before dying of pneumonia, aged 66, just days before the death of her sister, Emma.
Borden and her association with the murders has remained a topic in American popular culture mythology into the 21st century, and she has been depicted in various films, theatrical productions, literary works, and folk rhymes. The case was memorialized in a popular skipping-rope rhyme:
Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done,
She gave her father forty-one. (Summary from Wikipedia).

The Borden Family Graves
On November 14, 2015, Shawn and Marianne Donley of PANICd.com traveled to Fall River, Massachusetts to the graves of Abbey, Andrew, Sarah, Alice, Emma, and Lizzie Borden in Oak Grove Cemetery.
The Borden plot is the most visited site in Oak Grove Cemetery. On the day of the funeral of Abby and Andrew Borden, only grass and many trees surrounded the open graves lined with pine branches. Of course the Bordens were not buried on the date of their joint funeral, August 6, 1892, but instead lingered in a holding tomb at the cemetery awaiting a full autopsy on August 11th and burial at last on August 17th. It would not be until January 1895 that the stately Westerly blue granite monument would be set in place, along with the rectangular headstones bearing the initials of the victims. The monument and the headstones were purchased by Emma and Lizabeth Borden.

Scary Haunted Houses Lizzie Borden House
Scary Haunted Houses Lizzie Borden House
Lizzie Borden was suspected in 1892 of the vicious ax murder of her stepmother and father. After a sensational trial she was found not guilty. No one else was ever tried for the murders and they remain unsolved to this day.
Found in Fall River, Massachusetts the Lizzie Borden house is three stories tall and remains relatively unchanged from how it was back when the murders were committed. According to many former tenants there have been many unexplained noises and ghostly sightings at the home. Around the corner from the house is the cemetery where the graves of the entire Borden family can be found.
Robin, a caretaker of the house recalls hearing shuffling going on outside doors, knocking, footsteps and whispers. Not only that but she has witnessed light mysteriously turning on and off, dishes being put away on their own. She has had many scary feelings in the house and they continue to happen. She was giving a night tour once when she heard a women's voice, saying Hello.
Strange photo's have been taken that appear to show ghosts. For instance one shows what appears to be a ghostly face in a window of an old woman. Another picture shows a spooky white mist.
Today the house is open for guests to stay the night. Many report seeing shadows in the corner of their eyes, and hearing door knobs being shaken. They also have reported hearing shuffling outside their door and some have even left screaming. Would you be brave enough to stay the night?

Fall River Ghost
A friend of mine told me his house was haunted, and he knew I did investigations, so I went there with my camera, and after 3 visits through all of the places that people reported activity, we caught this...
Something extra we found out years later from the landlord was that before they opened that apartment building it was renovated because it used to be a crack house, and after doing some digging I found out a crackhead overdosed in the basement of that building.
