POLICE CHIEFS RESIGNING/FIRED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY
I received this in my email this morning with the disclaimer that it wasn't on Snopes, but there was no confirmation that it was true. I started pulling the title of each line and entering into scroogle. Lo and behold it seems very true. I checked the first four... then scrolled down and checked for Tulsa (Theresaland), where an old acquaintance of mine was just made mayor. They all came up true.
I can only guess at what the reason is. Someone cracked the national pedophilia ring (if that was the case there would be beaucoup judges too)? Obama is cleaning house of all who might resist a federal martial martial law takeover?
Your guess is as good as mine. Here's the list... the first 4 and Tulsa are verified:
******can if you if you live in any of the city's listed, check in on it on it so we can debunk this if its not true. Thanks******Your thoughts on this too******
Subject: POLICE CHIEFS RESIGNING
1. Gaithersburg, MD Gaithersburg Police Chief John King resigned with little explanation last week, leaving his colleagues and community members wondering what happened.
2. Guttenberg, IA Police Chief Resigns After Seven Months on the Job, no reason
3. Harrisburg, PA - Richard Pickles retires after serving a month as Harrisburg police chief
4. Culpeper, VA When Scott Barlow announced two weeks ago he would step down from his job as chief of police with the town of Culpeper, it caught a lot of people off guard, including us.
5. Carbondale, IL - Police Chief Resigns, no reason given
6. Austin, MN - Several Austin City Council members said they were shocked by Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp's resignation Tuesday morning.
7. Jonesboro, GA - The City of Jonesboro's new police chief has resigned, five weeks after being named to the top job.
8. Manassas, VA - found this quote: I hope the Chief enjoys his retirement. Between his service in the Secret Service, Fairfax and Manassas, he's earned it.
9. West Covina, CA - Tolich, a 21-year veteran of the force, retired nine years before he was eligible for full retirement benefits, Finance Director Thomas Bachman said.
In an email Tolich sent to members of the department, he tells fellow officers that a personal matter involving him and his family led to the sudden departure.
These were either benign stories or little info given.
(Bearing in mind that a seasoned cop could probably make a pretty believable alibi for leaving.)

GUTTENBERG IOWA FIREWORKS 2016 | vlog 182
An epic day with family. I start out running 6 miles on the Heritage Trail in Eastern Iowa, starting at the Dyersville, Iowa end. Then, my father-in-law takes me for a ride in his Chevy Caprice convertible. Later that evening, my daughter gets to be in the Guttenberg 4th of July parade. And we round out the night with fireworks. What a day.
Also, I talk about my pregnancy sympathy craving: bananas and coffee.
To skip right to the Guttenberg part, fast forward to 8:26

Where in Iowa is Jeff?...The Sequel
Here is the 2008 version of Where in Iowa is Jeff? From February to November, I logged 9,850 miles and collected 300 dancing clips. Between the 2007 and 2008 videos, I visited all 99 Iowa counties and drove somewhere between 15,000 and 18,000 miles.
Since last year focused on the top-tier Iowa spots, this years video visits more obscure Iowa places and enabled me to interact more with Iowans along the way. If you think you've seen all of Iowa, you are wrong. Keep looking; you'll be amazed at what you find.

Missouri River as a Wildlife Highway, by Todd Meese
Missouri River as a Wildlife Highway, Presentation by Todd Meese,
Wildlife Damage Biologist with Missouri Dept. of Conservation
Big Muddy Speakers Series (Kansas City) hosted by
Healthy Rivers Partnership (
Lakeside Nature Center ( and
RiverRelief (
at the Westport Coffeehouse Theater (
- Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
Rivers have always served as biological highways, connecting
together different locations in a kind of riparian web. As humans
continue encroaching on habitat throughout the Midwest, the
Missouri River has become an even more important corridor of
wildlife dispersal.
Todd Meese’s work with the Missouri Dept. of Conservation has
revealed this importance with several species, both those that
use the water itself as a highway and those that use the ribbon
of forest along the Missouri River as cover for their travels.
Meese will talks about tracking the movement of the
increasing number of mountain lions sighted in the state (55
confirmed sightings since 2002). By detailed DNA analysis, he and
his colleagues determine most of these are juvenile
cats that originated in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Evidence
points to the animals using the Missouri and Platte River (NE)
corridors as their dispersal highway.
MDC tracks the movement of otters and beaver,
both of which use the Missouri River and its tributaries to
expand their territory with growing populations. Using these and
other species as examples, Meese with talk about the unique
stories of these animals as well as the general concept of our
river valleys as important corridors of wildlife movement and
habitat expansion.

U.S. Route 52 in Iowa
U.S. Highway 52 is a 166-mile-long United States highway in northeast Iowa. The route begins at the Savanna–Sabula Bridge over the Mississippi River between Sabula and Savanna, Illinois. From Sabula, it heads north along the Mississippi towards Bellevue and Dubuque. At Dubuque, US 52 briefly shares an expressway with U.S. Route 61 and U.S. Route 151.
North of Dubuque, the route follows the course of the river and turns to the west. At Luxemburg, it turns to the north towards Guttenberg. It then heads northwest where it overlaps U.S. Route 18 for 15 miles. At Calmar, US 52 turns to the north towards Decorah. US 52 crosses into Minnesota north of Burr Oak.
