London Cru is London's first winery, based on the site of an old gin distillery in Earl's Court. We meet Winemaker Gavin Monery and he explains the urban winery's ambitious aim of producing accessible fine wine in the centre of London.

Wide load police escort of 235 tonne generator on motorway
Police escort a wide load, or an abnormal load, of a 235 tonne generator on a 55 metre long haulage of two trucks using BMW police cars and BMW police motorcycles from Avon And Somerset Police / Gloucestershire Constabulary Tri-Force Police Operations up the M5 motorway for National Grid UK, who need to replace a substation in the nearby village of Iron Acton.
Due to the abnormally large load, the police have to escort the vehicle along the different motorways at 10-15 mph from Avonmouth to Junction 13 of the M5 and then back down it the opposite way to Junction 14 where the load is taken by local roads to the village. Also due to the weight, the load has to take such an unusual route to avoid weak bridges in the area.
At Junction 13 the load is met by roadworks and severe bends - so the entire haulage of the two trucks and the trailer with the generator has to reverse the wrong way around the roundabout whilst police shut off the roads to stop traffic getting in the way.
The whole operation takes a lot of planning and involves some unusual strategies working with the local police, highways agency, local councils, the organisation's load (National Grid in this scenario) and the company moving the load (Allelys in this scenario).

On a personal note - I find this sort of thing fascinating! And I will be looking to film more of this sort of thing in the future. If with police escort I will publish it on this channel, if not I will publish it on my general channel where I film all sorts of vehicles;

Juliette Binoche Stars in a New Production of Mademoiselle Julie at the Barbican Theatre

Juliette Binoche is to star in August Strindberg's Mademoiselle Julie at the Barbican in 2012 as part of the venue's Olympics celebrations. The production marks Binoche's first British stage appearance since 2008, when she performed at the National Theatre in the dance theatre piece In-i with choreographer Akram Khan.
The French-language version of Miss Julie will be directed by acclaimed director/producer Frédéric Fisbach, and Binoche will be joined by Nicolas Bouchaud and Benedicte Cerutti as well as a local community cast. The costumes are being designed by Alber Elbaz of the fashion house Lanvin.
Frédéric Fisbach's contemporary and striking re-imagining of Mademoiselle Julie is an intimate drama about a woman longing to escape the ties imposed by her position as the daughter of a Count, which sees the tragedy of the three main protagonists unfold under the watch of a chorus of local community actors. The piece is framed by striking, contemporary staging, breathing new life into a classic play.
Barbican managing director Nicholas Kenyon is particularly enthused about the Olympic revelry, describing it as an opportunity to really demonstrate the thriving cultural offer of the capital as never before.
This production of Mademoiselle Julie had its premiere at the Avignon Festival before coming to London. It will run at the Barbican from September 20 to 29, 2012, with press night on September 20, 2012.
