Government Mineral Springs Guard Station Gifford Pinchot National Forest
The guard station is part of the Government Mineral Springs campground that includes the Iron Mike mineral well and public hand pump.
Near Carson, Washington, the Wind River, and within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
Don't forget that you'll need a forest pass in the Gifford Pinchot National forest because the government needs your money more than you do....
P.S. if you leave the forest and you are in B.L.M. land, (Bureau of land management) you'll need a discover pass because the government needs your money more than you do......
P.S. If you park in the wrong place near the cabin you'll get a parking ticket. Didn't happen to me but others have found out the hard way.

We decided to check out the Grove of the Patriarchs with our 6 year old as we had heard it was an easy and fun hike for kids. We were blown away by how beautiful this trail and the actual grove was. It was almost literally like entering another world. The deeper you traveled along this short trail the bigger the trees became and the more magical the forest seemed. This truly felt like something out of a fantasy movie.
Right before reaching the Grove of The Patriarchs you get to cross a swinging bridge that takes you over the crystal clear waters of the Ohanapecosh River. Shortly after crossing the bridge you will enter the actual grove that contains trees that are seem impossibly big. These trees span from hundreds to even thousands of years old.
This was a very special treat for my son who really enjoyed seeing the old growth and for my wife and I who always enjoy seeing new incredible things. I highly recommend if you go to Mt. Rainier National park that you make a stop at the Grove of The Patriarchs. You may have to battle crowds a bit as this hike is popular due to its ease and accessibility. But it's 100% worth it!
