Facebook: Jimm Soh
This is a story about Jimm Soh, a 26-years-old fresh graduate Medical Student who had a Work & Travel Holiday Summer 2019 in WonderWorks, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee 2019 from end of May until mid October. Let see whether you can stop viewing after the first click because I was amazed by the foods, beautiful scenery and the humorous people in the USA!
I summarized my 5 months experience into 5 reasons why I love WAT Summer 2019! Welcome all my juniors and friends who are interested to participate the program to have a glimpse about how my life during the program. There are so much fun and things to be done in WAT USA. I hope you will have your own adventure story to tell us in the future!
Also I give credit to Infinity Abroad and CENET for doing a good job to place me in such a blissful place to work. World Harvest Embassy, First Baptist Church Pigeon Forge, WonderWorks and the supervisors are very kind and caring to us. I felt a lot of love from the care by them.
You can checkout Infinity Abroad website to find out more about the program.
* Regarding to the staff benefit of WonderWorks, the companies have the right to change the T&C in the pass exchange programme. What I got for free does not guarantee the future employees will have the same benefit.
* Disclaimer, I do not own the music and I used them as BGM because they are meaningful during my stay in Tennessee.
1. Rocky Top- Obsborne Brothers is one of the 10 state official song in Tennessee. It is usually played during a football or baseball game.
2. Calma- Pedro Capo, Alan Walker, Furruka is a Spanish song that all my Dominican plays during my stay in Tennessee.
3. God Bless the U.S.A- Lee Greenwood is a patriotic song recommended by my English teacher, Tracy. The song is very inspiring and I was crying when listened to it during 4 July independent day.
4. I will always love you- Dolly Parton is a very popular song sang by Whitney Houston. Many does not realize that Dolly Parton is the original creator of the song. Talking about Dolly Parton, she is a legend in Tennessee because she is a very successful entrepreneur from singer background. She opened a themepark known as Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. This song is a tribute to her during my stay in Pigeon Forge.

My Life Story: 18 Year-Old First Generation American
This is my life story from being on this earth for close to 19 years. Many people have said they love my story, so I thought it was time to share it on a live-stream. Enjoy it! Let me know what you think!
My parents were both born and raised in South Africa. They lived in Cape Town, South Africa and recently got married after being together for many years. My parents saw South Africa’s future and they wanted to get out. They looked at the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States. My dad was a great student and went to a great college and applied for a job in America. He got the job in America with the H1B and then green cards and was offered to move my parents and everything for free from Cape Town, South Africa to San Francisco, California. My parents left their families and packed 2 full bags and left with 2 puppies with them for a life in America.
Once they came to California they loved life there. They would share one car and live in a tiny place. California was similar to Cape Town because it was always 70 degrees and blue beautiful skies. As they lived in California they learned how expensive California really was compared to other states. My parents started to look at other places to live in America that wasn’t as expensive and my dad found a new job. My parents moved to the opposite side of the United States to Miami, Florida.
I was born close to Miami, Florida. I was the first born American In my family and I am a only child meaning I have no brothers or sisters. My dad in Miami, Florida had a very high paying job resulting in him constantly being away with his work while my mom was a stay at home mom managing me. When I was younger I had my family come in from South Africa and spend time with me while I was very young and I don’t remember too much of it. I remember Florida always being hot, steamy, and stormy. Every few months we had to put up shutters from the storms there. I remember it would rain once everyday and it would be sunny and still rain resulting in a “monkey’s wedding.” I went to pre-school in Florida and I did complete that there. As time went on my parents were becoming more and more unhappy in Florida. In southern Florida there is a lot of violence between the Latin community and my parents didn’t feel safe and welcomed in Miami, so we started looking to move from Miami. When I was 5 years old we moved from Miami, Florida to Knoxville, Tennessee.
My parents had a friend who moved from South Africa to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. My parents went to go visit him and they loved it here. They loved the mountains, the weather, the people. Really just the culture you get in Tennessee, so they decided to move to Tennessee. When I moved here from Florida I hated it here. People spoke differently, I lost all of my friends, and I missed my old house. It felt like I was in the middle of nowhere with no stores of anything of here compared to Florida.
I started elementary school here in Tennessee and I found it very different here. I started kindergarten here and I noticed people here talked a little different than I did. I made friends and time went on. I went to my elementary school from K-5 grade and it was the only school I stayed at all the way through my life.
When I was 11 years old halfway through 6th grade I was told we were moving again. We were moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee. My dad couldn’t find a job around Knoxville, Tennessee, so we were forced to go to wherever he could find work. At this point I felt the lowest in my life. I couldn’t see my best friends from Knoxville, I had to start over with friends, I had to move in the the middle of the school year, I had no siblings to talk to about it. When I was at school I missed my parents and I hated it in the beginning. I felt I had nobody to talk to and nobody like me. At that point I was depressed and my body was going through a lot of changes with my hormones and I would have nights where I wouldn’t really sleep. We were renting a house in Chattanooga that had so many problems and it was in an area with so many issues.
As a year-year and half went by things got better and we custom built a new house 10 minutes away from the house we were renting. We moved into that house and things got better. I never really had a best friend in Chattanooga, but I had made a few friends there and I was playing soccer, football, and basketball for my school and other sports. Both of my parents were working, and I couldn’t drive at the time, so there would be times I would have to ride the bus, get someone else to take my home, or wait for my dad to get off work to pick me up.
(YouTube won't let me add the rest of my story down here just keep listening)

WHAT WE BELIEVE BIBLICALLY
▪Christ-centered-If Jesus said it… we believe it. If Jesus modeled it… we want to live it. If Jesus commanded it… we want to obey it. We believe everything Jesus practiced and preached is as relevant for us today as it was at the time of Christ’s earthly life and ministry.
▪Non-denominational-Having no authority or doctrines dictated by any outside board or affiliation.” We believe in order to stay as true as possible to the patterns of church life in the New Testament, we must avoid denominational labels and doctrines that identify us with one group exclusively. This does not mean, however, that anything goes!
▪Jesus Christ-Jesus is the only Son of God. We believe that His earthly life and ministry demonstrated and proved this: All people matter to God. We believe that if anyone wants to come to God, they must first invite Jesus Christ to be Savior and Lord of their life.
▪Worship-worship is fundamental to the abundant life of a growing Christian. We encourage all expressions of worship we read about in the Bible.
▪The Bible (KJV) Preferred-The only complete and infallible written Word of God. We also believe God still speaks to us today through His Holy Spirit.
▪What we believe about… You-EVERYONE seeking/not seeking Christ is welcome to hear the word of God.. NO ONE IS BEYOND SAVING! We love you as Christ loves the Church & hope God will work Miracles in your life to find a Relationship with you.

A Man Was Hiking in the Smoky Mountains When He Stumbled Across a Seriously Creepy Discovery
Jordan Liles has a passion for photography. His hero is a legendary filmmaker and actor, Sir Charlie Chaplin. Liles is a director himself, but he is most well known for his photographs of abandoned places. When it comes to abandoned locations in the United States, there are plenty of them. As America has evolved, many places didn't. Some places are left abandoned because they had prosperous beginnings only to fail. This has left these place abandoned and damaged.
Some places are left behind for more sinister reasons. One example is the Lake Shawnee Amusement Park located in West Virginia. It was built in the 1920s on the site of an ancient indigenous burial ground. Shortly after the amusement park opened, six people died. It is believed that it had something to do with spirits on the fairgrounds. After these deaths, the amusement park was left abandoned and in disrepair. Today, the only visitors of the site are people looking to get scared on Halloween.
Jordan stumbled upon one of his creepiest finds in 2013. The site is in Elkmont, Tennessee, which is hidden deep within the woodlands of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Jordan is a Memphis native, and he has been to the Smokies plenty of times. He lived in the area for 26 years and still visits the park often when he has time. It was during one of his hiking expeditions that he found something incredible. A man was hiking in the Smoky Mountains when he stumbled across a seriously creepy discovery.
During Jordan's trip, he went up an unnamed gravel road. At the end of the road, he found an abandoned neighborhood and a hotel. Some of the buildings were built over 100 years ago. One of the first structures that he came across was an abandoned cabin. It may have once been cozy, but today, it is an empty shell. When Jordan got closer to the cabin, he noticed that the windows were broken and the floorboards were pulled up. The cabin didn't look safe, so he didn't want to go inside. In his video, he is heard saying, I don't really think I want to go in there. It looks like the kitchen is on a slant which means that the property is not in good condition. From the outside, he could see decaying shelves and toppled containers all over the floor.
After leaving the cabin, Jordan continued to explore. He went through some nearby trees and down a set of stone steps. He saw another home. Inside, there was a washer and dryer that had turned upside down on the broken floorboards. It was difficult to tell how long it had been since anyone lived there. He was sure that the abandoned town had much more to see; he just needed to keep exploring.
As Jordan continued exploring, he found another house. This one had steps. It was missing many of its walls, and there was a screen installed to replace the missing planks. The screens were torn and tattered. The screen made it possible for him to get a good look inside. There was old furniture in the house along with broken fixtures. The walls were stripped down to the bare wood and loose planks. Any doors that were once in the home are not gone.
As Jordan walked down the gravel road, he came upon three more houses. It looked as though vandals had broken into one of the houses. There was a lock that had been smashed, leaving the doors wide open. This house wasn't in such disrepair that entering wouldn't be too dangerous. This home was in much better shape than the rest, and there will still blinds hanging from some of the windows. There was also a shower curtain hanging in the rust filled tub. The toilet had a matching seat cover. The bathroom was filthy, but it was in much better shape than the other houses in the ghost town.
Jordan came upon a large structure that he thought could have been a hotel. There was an enormous stone fireplace behind plenty of large windows. He assumed that it was a social area or the reception area. The stairs had collapsed so he couldn't go upstairs and check out the rooms.
Finally, when Jordan came upon a sign, he figured out what the town once was. It was once the Wonderland Club, which was a very prosperous vacation community. When it was built, the owner chose this site because it was close to a busy logging town. It was open to the public in 1912 and operated for seven years before private owners purchased the land and the structures. The idea was for a group of men from Knoxville, TN to create their own private venture. Unfortunately, the plans were rejected. Instead, they created an exclusive social club called The Wonderland Club. In 1925, the logging industry in the area died, and people couldn't afford to visit the Wonderland Club. Soon, the buildings fell into disrepair.
Jordan is shocked that he stumbled on an entire vacation property accidentally. Fortunately, he had his camera with him and was able to get some amazing shots. This is just one of America's many abandoned properties. If you look hard enough, you never know what you are going to find.

ABOUT:
Travel has changed my life and I have no plans on stopping any time soon.
That's why I am now running this video blog showing you how to travel the world continuously
FAQ:
How did you learn to edit?
I taught myself. I downloaded Premiere Pro and began to figure out how to use it through trial and error. My videos were pretty bad at first but eventually, and with the help of many tutorials, you start to figure out what works.
Premiere Pro Link:
What work are you doing?
I started off running this video blog while doing freelance web design and video editing to supplement my travelling lifestyle. I now rely solely on this blog to generate revenue through advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship opportunities.
How do you meet the people in your videos?
Hostels, guesthouses and conversations! You meet people so easily while travelling. Just open yourself up and you will meet all sorts of amazing people.
'
Where do you live?
Right now, I travel the world continuously and so do not have a permanent base or home anywhere. I am not sure how long this is going to be the situation but right now I just want to keep travelling.

10 small towns that have been put up for sale.
Top 10 small towns that have been put up for sale.
Are you tired of following rules and dancing for the man? Want to make your own rules? Well, if you said yes to all those This list is for you. There are towns in the United States that are for sale. I’m not kidding. You can buy a town. Some are abandoned some are not.
It does sound weird that a town might be for sale, I get it. But, people have actually bought towns when they went up for sale.
The actress Kim Basinger bought a small town in Georgia not to far from Atlanta in 1989. In 2018 the small town of Tiller, Oregon was sold for under 4 million dollars. So, this does happen.
There are real estate agents that have listed these towns for sale. All you
Anyway, those two may be off the market but there are plenty still for sale. Let’s start with…..
Thanks for checking out the channel. I hope you enjoyed today's video. If there is a state, city or town you'd like us to do a video about let us know in the comment section.
If you enjoy these videos I would love to hear about it. These videos are made to help people who are thinking about relocating, looking for real estate, or just wanting to learn about the United States. I most of the time focus on the negative side of locations. If you want some happy positive information about a city, town or state, I would suggest looking up local mortgage and real estate companies or maybe the locations website. They are trying to sell you something so it will be nothing but sunshine and rainbows. They won't tell you about crime, poverty, bail bondsmen, or insurance you'll need because of natural disasters. I will. And I will try and make it entertaining.

Sundance Vacations- Things to Do Near the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee
There are so many things to do in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee for our Sundance Vacations travelers!
The state is known for its outdoor activities, especially at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This area is one of the most stunning scenic places to visit during the fall for its beautiful autumn leaves. It’s a great spot to take your camera and capture pictures of some of the wildlife in the area like a grizzly bear or wild elk. Some travelers like getting pictures of the Smoky Mountains, TN from the sky by taking a tour with Scenic Helicopter Tours!
It’s also a wonderful spot to go hiking, biking, fishing, or picnicking during the warmer months and skiing or snowboarding during the winter.
Shoppers love stopping by downtown Gatlinburg to get their favorite food at unique restaurants and sample some brews at local distilleries such as Ole Smoky Distillery! Pictures in the video of the distillery are courtesy of their photographer, Van Gallik.
Some travelers even like to stop by Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee! Kids love the rides and water parks and parents love the country life.
