BEAUTIFUL BOROBUDUR SUNRISE (Special Edition)
Hello Hokyers, after for long time we finally uploaded Vlog again, this time with a special edition of Borobudur Temple that was amazing. The temple that has been recognized as a world cultural heritage which has a historical value and a very high charm. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset with the atmosphere of a beautiful natural atmosphere adds our sense of wisdom to the temple which is the largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia. After from borobudur we go to Chicken Church . Actually, the shape of the building is not a chicken, but its a dove that symbolizes peace. But because it shape not be slim and tend to form a chicken, then the name of this place is famous chicken church, hehe.
We also always learning to give you the best view guys ;)

Borobudur sunrise, Prambanan Temple and travel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Sunrise at Borobudur, a few adventures in Yogyakarta, followed by an afternoon exploring Prambanan Temple in Indonesia.
What an amazing way to spend a few days in Yogyakarta, Indonesia!
❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊
Sunrise at Borobudur is definitely worth setting your alarm for. Borobudur is the world’s largest Buddhist temple, and Indonesia’s most visited tourist attraction. Located on the island of Java, the temple was constructed in the 9th century, before being abandoned in the 14th century as the population converted to Islam. Protected by UNESCO, it was restored in the 1970s and later opened to the public (while still being used for religious pilgrimage).
Sunrise is an incredible time to visit. We watched as the colour of the sky changed from a rich shade of blue to purple, to pink, to orange, and then settled on a luxurious shade of gold. Sun spheres peeked through from behind the buddhas and began to illuminate details on the stone. I’d definitely recommend visiting at sunrise.
Yogyakarta is a bustling city. I really enjoyed checking out the markets which were full of beautiful flowers and exotic fruits. I also tracked down some colourful houses – so photogenic!
Prambanan Temple is a 9th Century Hindu temple located around 17km from Yogyakarta. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia. The architecture is incredible and, like Borobudur, it’s another temple that’s very well preserved.
If you base yourself in Yogyakarta, each of these temples is within easy reach. They’re very special, but in different ways, so be sure to make time to see them both.

Borobudur Sunrise, Majestic and Gorgeous | Yogyakarta | Indonesia | We.Are.Wanderful
Experiencing the Majestic and Gorgeous Borobudur Sunrise
Yogyakarta | Indonesia
JUNE 4, 2017—Our first destination and the highlight of our trip to Yogyakarta in Java Island, Indonesia is a visit to the famous Borobudur Temple, the world's biggest Buddhist Temple.
Marie and I were introduced to Borobudur through the popular cable TV series, Ancient Aliens. We've been very fascinated by Borobudur ever since and made it a point to make it the very first place to visit when we get the chance to go travel to Indonesia.
We left our hotel in Yogyakarta's city proper at 3:30 in the morning for our pre-arranged Borobudur temples tour and Merapi volcano adventures. The first activity in our tour itinerary is the now famous Borobudur Sunrise.
We arrived in the Borobudur temple complex early enough to find us a good position and vantage point from which to await the sunrise. With us were a couple of hundred other tourists who were also eagerly anticipating the much-written about sunrise.
Sunrise came shortly after 5am. The weather was perfect and the sky clear and when the sun broke out from the horizon it was gorgeous. Borobudur Sunrise does not disappoint!
The morning sun emerged right at the point where the northern slope of Meraki volcano (which, BTW, is Indonesia's most active volcano) meets another mountain.
The pristine jungles surrounding the massive Borobudur Temple added to the magical morning, with sea the treetops beautifully blanketed by a beautiful sea of clouds!
By 5:15 the sun was completely out. A few more minutes and it would have been too hot for us to stay on top of the temple so we started to make our way down to explore the famous, legendary, and mysterious temple.
But our exploration of Borobudur Temple is reserved for another video. This one is solely to enjoy and admire the sunrise.
This is a short video presentation of our trip to Borobudur Temple to wait for and watch the sunrise over Borobudur. Enjoy watching.

Borobudur Discovery Tour
Central Java | Indonesia
JUNE 4, 2017—After watching the world-famous Borobudur sunrise* we proceeded to explore the world's largest buddhist temple from top to bottom.
Approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Yogyakarta, Borobudur is Indonesia's single most visited tourist attraction.. Aside from its wonderful sunrise, it is very famous for its unique design, particularly its 72 bell-shaped stupas containing Buddha statues and the more than 2,000 intricate sculptures or bas-reliefs hiding in plain site on Borobudur’s massive stone walls.
This is a short video presentation of our Borobudur Discovery Tour in Central Java, Indonesia. Enjoy watching.

TRIP TO INDONESIA - YOGJAKARTA JOGJA - TRAVEL VLOG
Welcome to Yogjakarta Indonesia!
In this tour we visit central Java in the city of Yogyakarta (often called “Jogja”) to see Borobudur and Prambanan, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
About 15 minutes from Yogjakarta's airport is Prambanan, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia dating back to the 10th Century. It contains temples dedicated to the three main Gods of the Hindu Trinity - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Next we head to the Sultan's Palace where we see a glimpse into the Indonesian heritage.
We watch the Wayang, or Shadow Puppet performance, which is an Javanese art form listed with UNESCO. The puppets are etched in intricate designs and the stories are accompanied by the traditional gamelan music.
We visit a batik art shop to watch how this unique Javanese art form is created using wax and color on cloth and silk.
Next we try the local cuisine including snake fruit.
Finally, we reach Borobudur, one of the top three temples in Southeast Asia. Built in the 9th Century, it was built as a monument to educate about Buddhism. It is the largest Buddhist temple complete with nine levels topped by a central dome, making it 10, a number signifying perfection. There are 504 Buddha statues, each in different positions ranging from meditation, teaching, to enlightenment.
Here is the information on our tour:

INDONESIA VLOG #6 | Borobudur, Prambanan and Friends YOGYAKARTA (JOGJA)
In this vlog we travelled to the two most famous temples in Jogja: Borobudur and Prambanan! We bought a combination ticket, which is valid for 48 hours and costs around 500.000 rupiah (32 euro). If you are a student, don't forget to bring your student card with you (because I forgot..), because you will get a discount! It takes about an hour and a half to travel from Borobudur and Prambanan!
Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple in Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia, and the world's largest Buddhist temple. The temple consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular, topped by a central dome. It is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues (some without a head), each seated inside a perforated stupa.
After visiting Borobudur, we visited the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, Prambanan. Prambanan is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Transformer (Shiva). These temples are truly remarkable, as the walls tell the stories of the Hindu religion. The towers are 47 meters high and look majestic! I loved it!
After visiting the temples, mom and I were tired, so we went to the Jogja City mall (in the video it said Hartono, but this is not the case, as I got confused and forgot the name of the mall! Sorry!) to get some food and some snacks. After visiting the mall, I met up with my friend from Egypt, Ahmed. We had so much fun talking about different cultures and more! Thanks for your time Ahms! Love!
I hope you enjoy seeing a little of Jogja! There will be more in the upcoming vlogs!
-------------
Me and my mom have been travelling throughout Indonesia for three weeks! In this and the upcoming vlogs you can follow our trip from Jakarta to Bandung, Yogyakarta, Ubud, Seminyak and Nusa Dua, so make sure you follow us for more fun!
For booking the train tickets we have used the following website:
the cost of the trainticket was only 16 euro per person.
or you can buy your trainticket at the trainstation, but then you have the chance that there is no place, so I would recommend booking beforehand.

Yogyakarta, Indonesia: Jogjakarta, Borobudur, and the Last of Indonesia
In my last episode from Indonesia, I made my way to the city of Yogyakarta, or as the locals calls it, Jogjakarta, Indonesia. I have to be honest, I've been pretty disappointing with travel so far on Java Island. Though there is a lot of potential, there are also loads of scams and scammers. Yogyakarta was different though. I thoroughly enjoyed the historical city and would gladly go back to spend some more time. During our stay in Yogyakarta we also went out to visit the world famous Borobudur Temple just an hour away. Though Borobudur is impressive, it is extremely overpriced, and borders on being theft. It costs about $25 for tourists to enter the site, and $35 more if they want to stay to watch the sun set. It really is crazy.
Anyways, as mentioned this is the last video from Indonesia (on this trip anyways) stay tuned for episode from further afield.
For my travel photography and articles, check out my travel blog:
A Tourist's Guide to Yogyakarta, Indonesia
We fly into Yogyakarta (pronounced Jog-Jakarta) to see the sights on a whistle-stop three-day tour. As well as the Sultan's Palace, we visit the UNESCO temple sights of Borobudur and Prambanan. Then we climb inside a 4x4 to do a tour of Mount Merapi, one of the most active volcanos in the world.
