Bodypaintography
An Exploration of Sentiment, Composition and Body Language
February 6-21, 2014
University of Miami Gallery
The Wynwood Building
2750 NW 3rd Ave, Miami, FL 33127
Since 2009, Cynthia Fleischmann has been using the naked body as her canvas to capture the connections we have with our world and each other. The interactive process of location scouting, painting and photographing her subjects is organic and natural. As soon as a thin coat of paint is applied, the insecurities and preconceived sexual and cultural notions of nudity dissipate. Cynthia has termed her resulting photographs of this dialogue between her painted subjects merged into a particular environment Bodypaintography.
Her signature red palms represent the bloodflow that keeps the heart and mind alive, and also brings to mind the hearts that have been stopped due to violence. They are our primal connection to life, death and nature.
Cynthia has performed live bodypaintings at the exhibition of Rirkrit Tiravanija at ArtBasel, Switzerland in 2011 and has collaborated with South African activist artist Zanele Muholi. Last year, Cynthia organized and photographed an artistic happening called Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust during Burning Man, to which 77 volunteers united naked, covered in dust to connect with the desert environment.
Bodypaintography has been exhibited at the University of Miami's Lowe Art Museum, at the Coral Gables Museum and at various art fairs, including: Art Miami, Art Palm Beach, MIA SeaFair and at CaneFair. Cynthia has also been exhibited in Lugano, Switzerland, Dubai, UAE, and in Bad Homburg, Germany. Her commissioned works include bodypaintographies, a sail for Peta, and a mural at the Sign of Life Resort in Bentota, Sri Lanka.
Cynthia's work has been featured in Best of College & High School Photography 2013 published by Photographer's Forum. She was also awarded a Juror Award of Merit -- People/Portraits at the Grand Prix de la Découverte.
The University of Miami, FL, USA awarded Cynthia a full scholarship to pursue her Masters in Fine Arts. She has been teaching photography, and expects to graduate in May 2014. She is a finalist for a Fulbright Fellowship to teach social awareness through art and photography in the township of Gugulethu, Cape Town, South Africa.
Cynthia grew up in Zurich, Switzerland and in Dover, MA, USA. She is the youngest of four sisters, and she loves to dance.

Kianga Jinaki is a self--taught fiber and mixed-media artist, born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1991, she began creating soft sculptures and art/story quilts that honor the rich cultural traditions of Africa and the African diaspora. In 1994, she became a teaching artist for The Center for Creative Education (CCE). This helped her to grow in her own art mediums and encouraged her to explore others through collaborations with fellow CCE artists. She began showing her story quilts in 1997, at The Daughters of Harriet Power’s Story Quilt Exhibition, held at the Museum Of African- American Art, in Tampa, Florida. This exhibition was composed of some 27 nationally and internationally known Fiber Artists. In 2000, her cloth fertility dolls were part of Beyond the Fringe: Florida Fiber Art 2000 at The Lowe Art Museum in Coral Gables, Florida. Later that year her story quilt, “A Good Man Gone” toured with the exhibition Roots of Racism: Ignorance and Fear, which was displayed in Memphis and Knoxville Tennessee; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Houston, Texas; and Atlanta, Georgia. When the Tour ended in 2002, the exhibition was picked up by the U.S. State Department for its Arts in Embassies Program. The quilts remained on display at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan from 2002- 2004. Also in 2000, she went through a divorce, studied and graduated from massage school and received her license in massage therapy. Ms. Jinaki took a break from her artistic pursuit to stabalize her family. In 2006, she returned to the art scene with her mix-media collages that became the illustrations for The Greedy Hyena, a children’s book published by Trafford publishing. In 2010, her doll art quilt, “Ayize Mami Wata African Healing Goddess” appeared in the show Mermaids and Merwomen in Black Folklore, at the Avery Research Center, in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2013, she traveled with her quilt, “Adowa” for the exhibition Contemporary Quilts from Traditional Textiles, at the Dei Centre for the Study of Contemporary African Art, Accra, Ghana. ATB Fine Artists curated and showed her works at Diaspora exhibits in 2014, 2015 and Collaboration 2015. “Spirit of the Cloth” just completed exhibition at City Hall in Charleston, South Carolina in June 2015 as a part of The 9th Annual African-American Fiber Arts Exhibit Maya Angelou. Currently, she works as a teaching artist for the Norton Museum of Art’s PACE Program.
Much of her work is hand-sewn, using the sewing machine only when it is absolutely necessary. Kianga's work is full of curves, not quite straight lines, and interesting juxtapositions. Ms. Jinaki tends to sight things more than measure them, think of her work as a beautiful branch on the tree of folk art. She has spent countless hours on the art displayed on these pages, thus developing a deep love and affinity for each piece. Jumping At The Sun is what I'm doing with every piece I create. I hope you find something here that speaks to you.

The subsectors, industry groups, and industries within the Finance and Insurance sector are defined on the basis of their unique production processes. As with all industries, the production processes are distinguished by their use of specialized human resources and specialized physical capital. In addition, the way in which these establishments acquire and allocate financial capital, their source of funds, and the use of those funds provides a third basis for distinguishing characteristics of the production process. For instance, the production process in raising funds through deposit-taking is different from the process of raising funds in bond or money markets. The process of making loans to individuals also requires different production processes than does the creation of investment pools or the underwriting of securities. Video Credit List is stored here Better Qualified works closely with collections attorneys to comb through all of your 3rd party collections in search of violations. When an account is sold to a 3rd party, often times the collection company will violate set regulations. This leaves the consumer paying more than they have to or paying for something that isn’t theirs. Our collection attorneys have not only gotten 3rd party and medical collections removed from our clients reports, but have also succeeded in obtaining cash settlements for some clients as well. Paul J. Oster is the CEO of Better Qualified, LLC, a limited liability company that specializes in business and consumer credit services. The company offers businesses and consumers solutions that include, but are not limited to, establishing lines of credit (personal/non-personal guarantees), analysis and consulting on business and consumer credit reports, establishing business credit scores, credit card approval processes, and identity theft protection. Repairing your credit profile is one of the most important financial decisions you can make. Better Qualified is here to help you achieve your optimal credit profile by making the credit repair process convenient, personal, and effective. We are proud that we have had the opportunity to help tens of thousands of Americans correct their credit reports and we're ready to help you too. Almost all Americans come across the problem of bad credit score. Steve, the author of the video, gives several useful suggestions to resolve this problem. First of all, one should look at the turning factors when it comes to scoring his credit. Payment history is the most important one. 35% of FICO score is based on payment history, so if you pay on time, your score will never be dropped on hundred points. Next, one should pay attention on the Amounts Owed, which takes 30% of FICO score. The rule №1 – don't keep 'max out credit cards'. If it happens, try to pay these accounts down. If you pay your accounts down to 20% or lower, then you will see a quick bust in your credit score within the next month. The length of the credit history is also important. The author suggests to think twice before closing your old accounts. Coral Gables, officially the City of Coral Gables, is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, southwest of Downtown Miami. According to United States Census Bureau estimates conducted in 2005, the city had a population of 42,871. The city's population was 47,401 according to 2012 estimates by the Nielsen Company. Coral Gables is home to the University of Miami. Coral Gables was one of the first planned communities, and prefigured the development of the gated community and the homeowners association. It is famous for its strict zoning regulations. The city was developed by George Edgar Merrick during the Florida land boom of the 1920s. The city's architecture is almost entirely Mediterranean Revival Style.
