Lowell Milken , the younger brother of Michael Milken, is co-founder of Knowledge Universe, a provider of early childhood education . He is also the founder of the TAP System for Teacher and Student Advancement, co-founder and chairman of the Milken Family Foundation, and a former senior vice president in the junk bond trading operation of Drexel Burnham Lambert.Over the past three decades, Lowell Milken has founded additional nonprofit organizations, including the Lowell Milken Family Foundation and the Lowell Milken Center. In 2000, he was named one of America's most generous philanthropists by Worth Magazine.

The Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes in Fort Scott, Kan., opened May 24. The 6,000-square-foot museum is on the corner of Wall and Main Streets and is dedicated to individuals who have taken extraordinary actions to help others, yet who have been ignored by history until now.

Kodak in the Congo: The Untold Story of Alice Seeley Harris

MotoVike Films had the opportunity to teach four high school students how to make a documentary from the ground up. What they were able to produce won international awards and changed the lives of the four students that produced it. Their documentary honors Alice Seeley Harris, one of the first people to use photography as a vehicle for a human rights campaign, as an unsung hero. This documentary was entered into the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes Competition in Fort Scott, Kansas.
