Skagway - from Upper Dewey Lake Devil's Punchbowl
Here is a quick view of Skagway and the Taiya inlet from the pass between Upper Dewey Lake and the Devil's Punchbowl. The huge downtown area of Skagway can be seen as well as the Smugglers Cove and two cruise ships. A great quick view of what you can see hiking to the punchbowl from the Upper Dewey lake. Conquering AB Mountain in Alaska
A couple years ago, I had the amazing experience of spending four months in the state of Alaska. It was the most beautiful place that I have ever seen. Skagway, Alaska is my favorite little town ever, and I hope that one day, I can have a summer home there.
I decided to go hiking one day, and the next thing you know, I was vertical, climbing a mountain. I had no food or water, but motivation and dedication to finish what I accidentally started.
I know that this is not what I normally post, but I wanted to share this all with you. Thank you all for watching.

Skagway, Alaska | CruiseOne
This historic frontier town is filled with stories about gunfights, bandits and an unquenchable thirst for gold.
Most of Skagway, Alaska is set within the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. And although the year-round population here sits at just 950 locals, the summer brings a boom of travelers who want to experience a taste of the region’s colorful history.
Many of these visitors arrive by cruise ship at one of the town’s three deep-water berths. From there, downtown is just 10 minutes away. Stroll along wooden sidewalks past false-front shops and beautifully restored buildings dating back to the 1900s.
Learn about Alaska’s most notorious outlaw, Soapy Smith, by taking in the ‘Days of ‘98’ theatre production and then drop by the historic Red Onion Saloon to unwind.
If you’re up for a short hike, head to the lookout just outside of town for sweeping views of Skagway and Lynn Canal. Or take a ride on the iconic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, which passes by waterfalls, gorges and countless stunning vistas.
This video shows you more about the best Skagway, Alaska, shore excursions and activities.

ALASKA, day 1,. We found a beautiful lake in Skagway (2018) │ My travel Journal
Alaska is an amazing place to visit, most people think that is going to be super cold but in the high season (between May and September) the weather is actually very pleasant.
Today is our day 1 in Alaska and we are visiting Skagway. We will do the WHITE PASS TRAIN TOUR with its amazing scenarios and sightseens, we will do a TREKKING TO THE DEWEY LAKES, beautiful and one of the few things to do for free here in Skagway, also, we will eat kettle pop corn that is so famous here in these Alaskan ports (don't ask me why), in every Kettle pop corn shop they have a loooot of flavors, you will see.
If you want to do this when you come to Skagway, here are the details:
White pass train tickets:
$125 per person pretty pricy but worth it if you see it at once in a life time experience. tours from outside or the webpage or the ship, the price is the same.
Trekking to the Dewey lakes:
FREE, you just have to get out of the ship, put your hiking shoes and you are ready to go. You will find the trail close to the ships, if you are in front of the ships facing town, the trail is in your right side by the mountains, follow the rails and you will find the path.
Pop corn:
is also pricy but worth it, you are going to find so many flavors, I tried the garlic with chesse pop corn (just for sun) and Iliked it, is really nice to try new things.
I hope you have fun and enjoy every single moment, remember that next week we will put more videos of Alaska and a lot of things to do, don't forget to subscribe and give us a thumbs up.

The Mt. Roberts Tramway experience | Juneau, Alaska
According to wikipedia, the Mount Roberts Tramway is an aerial tramway located just south of downtown Juneau in the U.S state of Alaska. In operation since 1996, the tram makes a six-minute ascent of 3,819-foot (1,164 m) Mount Roberts from the cruise ship docks (just feet above sea level) to a height of about 1,800 feet (550 m). A restaurant, theater, nature center and retail shops are located at the top of the tramway, as well as connections to trail leading both up and down the mountain. One trail up the mountain leads to a large cross erected by Roman Catholic Father Brown in the early 1900s.
