Wind and waves on Lake Michigan at Ludington North Breakwater Light
The power of the Great Lakes amazes me. On this October day with winds gusting in the upper 40 mph or more, waves on Lake Michigan washed over the Ludington North Breakwater, caught by the golden and reddish hued light of the late afternoon sun. Though the camera was firmly attached to a strong tripod, the wind whipped the tripod and camera which was set up on a small pile of sand at the Stearns Park beach.

A foggy evening prompted the Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse fog horn to be activated. The SS Badger was sounding, too. Otherwise quit.
