Video of Thai Boxing at the New Lumpini Muay Thai Boxing Stadium in Bang Khen, Bangkok, Thailand. Was an absolutely awesome night, expensive, but awesome.
I also saw the Victory Monument which was on my Bangkok Bucket List. Albeit it was at night, but I took a walk round it anyway and it was fine.
Getting around Bangkok is so easy once you work out how to use buses and the BTS (Sky Train).

I don’t like violence outside computer games and spending an evening watching young men in colored silk shorts bash each other didn’t sound like much of a sport to me. Though AC insisted that we went, as she is a Muay Thai practitioner herself and now in Bangkok, she wouldn’t miss that Muay Thai fight night for the world.

A great spectacle to watch Muay Thai in the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on 26 January 2016. The evening started at approximately 1830 with nine fights back to back. The locals in attendance added to the immense atmosphere. Definitely a must on the itinerary for anyone visiting Thailand.

Going to check out some Muay Thai at the New Lumpini Boxing Stadium. The stadium relocated 20km North from its original location of Lumpini and is now near Don Muang Airport.
I'd heard from the Muay Thai community in Australia that Since relocating and reopening, it hasn't maintained the same level of prestige. Still, gotta check it out once. This night seemed to be a smaller event, with mostly foreigners and the 5000 capacity stadium filled to about 40%. We arrived more than fashionably late and missed the main fights which were towards the start of the card. Over all it wasn't worth the 2000THB ticket price.
We follow up with dinner and drinks at a Thai pub in Nonthaburi and then kick on to another rowdier pub where. Another great night

Lumpinee 2019 - How to get to Bangkok muay Thai stadium
This was on my bucket list, to go to the mecca of Muay Thai.
The New Lumpinee stadium. They say the gamblers run the show now, farangs have influenced the scene and the golden age has passed. There are very little Muay Femur style, as mostly Muay Khao are more desirable to watch. I still had an amazing time here, seeing the best muay thai, and seeing it in the Stadium muay thai rule set.

I will be going to Chiang Mai, exploring temples, talking to monks, washing Elephants, and staying at the most humblest gym in the middle of nowhere. Learning authentic muay thai from one of the best Trainers in the world. Kru Manop, who is Saenchai's trainer.
