Lunt Meadows Mesolithic Excavation
Hot Chocolate in the Woods
On a cold, windy and snowy mid March day, Oliver and John(Dad) take a walk through the Sefton Countryside and stop off to make hot chocolate in the woods.
Following the Trans Pennine Trail north along the Cheshire Lines, they explore the area around Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve and The Mersey Forest. The film provides a closer look at some of the kit whilst Dad uses a Trangia Mini Cookset and spirit burner to boil up a warming hot chocolate as father and son relax and take in the tranquil atmosphere of the location.
'This is our first attempt at filming and YouTubing. We wanted to test out some of the cameras we have available for producing film clips. Whilst we realise the video isn't perfect, any suggests and comments for improvement for future clips we produce will be more than welcome. Also, if you have any questions relating to the kit we use in the film, again please ask. Apologies for the lack of speaking to the camera, but the wind was so strong through the day, we had to decrease the audio volume across most of the clips.'
Here's some useful web links for areas and kit featured in the film...

‘I was so impressed with today! Proud to be a Waterloo citizen!!’
Planning starts for 2018 pretty soon, hope to see you there and that the weather is kind to us again.
