Splendid China Folk Village (Chinese: 锦绣中华民俗村, pinyin: Jǐnxiù Zhōnghuá Mínsú Cūn) is a theme park including two areas (Splendid China Miniature Park & China Folk Culture Village) located in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. The park's theme reflects the history, culture, art, ancient architecture, customs and habits of various nationalities. It is one of the world's largest scenery parks in the amount of scenarios reproduced. The park is developed and managed by the major travel and tourist corporation, China Travel Service.

I visited Shenzhen museum in December, 2018.
The museum is free for visitors!
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10a.m. to 6p.m.
My visit was rather quick but I recommend for visitors to reserve 2 to 3 hours to wander around the magnificent halls. The museum focuses on how the city grew from a fishing village into real Silicon Valley of China.

This worthwhile attraction is part of Overseas Chinese Village (better known as OCT) and showcases the myriad minority ethnic cultures that make this vast country much less homogenous than imagined. It also serves as a great introduction to the history and traditions of China.
You can find the Folk village in the Nanshan area of Shenzhen. It costs around 200 yuan for one ticket.

Shenzhen is located in the southern portion of the Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong, Shenzhen's location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was built in this city. From then on, the city become a highlight of China, one known for its rapid economic growth.
More than thirty years ago , it just was a small fishing village called Bao'an County. In 1979, it was renamed Shenzhen City. When the #Special Economic Zone was built, the city was divided into six zones, four of which are located in the Special Economic Zone .
Each year, more and more people come to Shenzhen to try to find employment. As a result, the city has become increasingly crowded. The local government has recently made city-wide environmental improvements in an effort to combat problems caused by overpopulation. In recognition for these improvements, the city was awarded the Garden City Award in 2000.
While Shenzhen does not have as many historical attractions as other famous cities in China, it has created a number of excellent theme parks which entertain while teaching visitors about China and the world. Splendid China - Folk Culture Villages introduces visitors to China's long history and varied cultures, while Window of the World will take you to every corner of the world in one day. Introduction to Shenzhen using Matt Harding dancing meme. The first is a statue park located on Hongguilu. The second is a wall depicting Chinese soldiers inside Qiushuishan Park (求水山公园). The third is a fake Great Wall of China (also located inside Qiushuishan Park). The fourth is Dongmen (东门), a very popular old shopping area that is very crowded. The fifth is outside the Shenzhen Railway Station 深圳站 (or LuoHu Railway Station 罗湖站) that is right across the border to Lo Wu Station in Hong Kong.
